Bio

USA based lead vocalist Josh Lyons studied voice and classical piano in college, when he began his pursuit of being a singer in an all original band. For several years he honed his skills at performing and writing with several different bands, until eventually, Josh reached his goal. His band, “Big Mother Thruster”, signed with Maverick Records, and he signed with Warner Chappell Music Publishing. Josh opened for such bands as The Goo Goo Dolls, Sugar Ray, Kid Rock, Pearl Jam & CandleBox.
Josh was also a finalist on The Food Network reality television show “Food Network Star” with celebrity chefs Giada De Laurentiis, Bobby Flay and Alton Brown.
Josh’s time on the tv show brought worldwide attention to his cooking abilities and his band.
UK based guitarist/producer Diamond Duggal, a/k/a “DJ Swami” is an Ivor Novello and Mercury Music Prize nominated music producer, songwriter, DJ and guitarist. He is winner of 'Best Producer 2008' at the UK Asian Music Awards
Fell on Deaf Ears began as an internet songwriting collaboration between Josh and Diamond, with the two artist working together while separated by the Atlantic Ocean. After a year of long distance partnership, the two met in person in New York, and followed shortly thereafter with a week of high-intensity writing and demo recording sessions in London. These sessions produced 8 songs, and the group is off to a great start.
Fell on Deaf Ears made their North American debut at NxNW (Canada’s version of SxSW) and followed up with a feature spot at the 2010 Florida Music Festival.
In 2010 Josh teamed up with Bobby Lane and Michael Rizzo, both of the band Weszt. Michael Rizzo had also been a previous band mate with Josh in Big Mother Thruster. When getting the band together, Bobby reached out to drummer Jay DiBella to finish the lineup.
