The album

This is Filoxera (their self-titled album) which contains nine songs that were recorded from January to July this year and with which they exhibit their characteristic style. "We recorded a song in January, then we paused, and we continued to record the rest within two months" added the members of this experimental pop rock band.

The album was recorded and mixed by André Gámez in Intergalactic Soundsystem; It was produced by the band and mastered by Justin Weis in Trakworx, San Francisco, California, USA. UU

According to the musicians, the basis of the songs was the work of David Chinchilla and tonight they will perform them during a show in which they will share the stage with their friends and colleagues.

"This is an honest record and the one that most reflects who we are. We believe that we have a very solid energy as a band and it is a good time to focus on the audience, that's why in the production we include more moving, more danceable tracks, obviously with the sound of the group ", they affirmed.

Apegados a su estilo y fortalecidos con el aprendizaje acumulado en los últimos años, los músicos de Filoxera darán un concierto este viernes en la capital y presentarán de forma oficial su tercera producción discográfica.

David Lemus —voz y guitarra rítmica—, André Gámez —guitarra eléctrica—, David Chinchilla —batería— y Alejandro Guerra —bajo— son los responsables del crecimiento musical de la banda, cuya propuesta cada día gana más seguidores debido a su calidad sonora.

El álbum

Se trata de Filoxera (su álbum homónimo), en el que incluyen nueve canciones, las cuales se grabaron de enero a julio de este año y con las que exponen su característico estilo. “Corrimos un poco para producirlo debido a que lo dejamos desatendido varias semanas. Grabamos una canción en enero, hicimos una pausa y luego grabamos las demás durante dos meses”, agregaron los integrantes de esta banda experimental de pop rock.

El disco fue grabado y mezclado por André Gámez en Intergalactic Soundsystem; fue producido por la banda y masterizado por Justin Weis en Trakworx, San Francisco, California, EE. UU.

De acuerdo con los músicos, la base de los temas fue obra de David Chinchilla y esta noche los interpretarán durante un show en el que compartirán el escenario con sus amigos y colegas.

“Este es un disco honesto y el que más refleja lo que somos. Creemos que tenemos una energía muy sólida como banda y es un buen momento para enfocarnos en el público, por eso en la producción incluimos temas más movidos, más bailables, obviamente con el sonido del grupo”, afirmaron.

Regarding the lyrics, the group ensures they are inspired by people, social phenomena, collective goals and the beauty of music.

For example, Bossa Trix is a tribute to life and decisions. It talks about committing to oneself. Don’t Fight With The Rhythm explores on inclusion and how a genre reflects someone's life and therefore should be valued. In The End Of The World, the band criticizes consumerism and proposes a post-apocalyptic landscape if humans continue with this practice.

Por ejemplo Bossa Trix es un homenaje a la vida y las decisiones. Habla de comprometerse consigo mismo. Don’tFightWithTheRhythm explora acerca de la inclusión y de cómo un género refleja la vida de alguien más y por ende debe ser valorado. En The End Of The World la agrupación critica al consumismo y propone un paisaje post-apocalíptico si el humano continua con esta práctica.

Para el lanzamiento de “JustMakeMusic”, la banda tiene preparado un show planeado con mucha dedicación cuya apertura estará a cargo del cantautor Franc Castillejos. El material discográfico puede adquirirse el día en taquilla y tendrá un costo de Q70.
