Furniture Girls is a band from Seattle that plays a funky blend of alternative electro-rock. Their innate ability to connect with fans and fellow musicians alike has made them one of the most respected and sought-after bands in Seattle's music community. With a seasoned lineup that includes lyricist/lead vocalist stayC Meyer, bassist/producer Jim Watkins, drummer Thane Mitchell, guitarist Jason Lightfoot and vocalist Kate Bradley, the band has been filling clubs across the U.S. with audiences hungry for something dynamic and different since 2007.

Lyrics

The Deep End

Written By: Jim Watkins,Stacey Meyer

Boy you better watch your back…
Before the lies you told they might come back to haunt you

I’ve seen you watching me
When you think know one else can see
Believe me, I’ve watched you

Yeah…

And no one has to know
I know a place where we can go
But better not say no

I can’t handle that you don’t want me
You better hope that I ain’t in too deep
Isn’t this you’re idea of fun?
Well look out baby ‘cause here I come

I’ve heard the lies before
Oh, “You want me and you want more,”
Then who’s that with you now?

I’m not some little whore
Like Alex, I won’t be ignored
And let me make this vow…
I’ll take you down

I can’t handle that you don’t want me
You better hope that I ain’t in too deep
Isn’t this you’re idea of fun?
Well look out baby ‘cause here I come

Well look out baby ‘cause here I come
I’m coming, I’m coming for you
I’m coming for you, baby
I’m coming, I’m coming for you
I’m coming for your “girlfriend”
I’m coming, I’m coming for you
I’m coming for you, baby

And I… won’t be… denied.

The Well Was Poisoned

Written By: Stacey Meyer,Jim Watkins

Man child has a child
Not a man, let alone a man of his word
Little bird chirp chirp
But it’s not the sweetest sound you’ve ever heard

I dipped in the ink again
‘Cause my pen was writing thin
Ain’t it absurd?

Once, twice, a third again
Don’t touch the twin, he’s poison
You’d think I’d have learned
You think I’d have learned

Number two was bigger once
Number one the biggest
Still I was never fazed
Number one has come undone
Two is withering away
And both are half-crazed

What the hell was I thinking
Going after number three
The worst in some ways

Scattered unpredictable
Promises the moon in full
And then never pays

Now I’m through trying to collect
None of you knew you owed a debt
No more will I attempt to bleed
The tapped out twins are not for me

Man child’s still around
But I broke my quill in half
And kept him at bay
But he still pretends to drool
Hoping I will be the fool
Believe what he say

But I am much smarter now
Man, I cannot believe how
He falls for each stray

Each more mangy than the last
How could I be such an ass
To think he had taste
What a f*cking waste

Now I’m through trying to collect
None of you knew you owed a debt
No more will I attempt to bleed
The tapped out twins are not for me

All you unattainable ones that I seek
You’re all just killing time ‘til I’m ready
Don’t think that what we once did feel was real
To me you’re all just ghosts now disappear

‘cause I’m through trying to collect
None of you knew you owed a debt
No more will I attempt to bleed
The tapped out twins are not for me

You’re not for me…

Fake

Written By: Jim Watkins,Stacey Meyer

We’re all good at playing games
And yes I’ve played that game before
But you can’t playing when
You’re laying face down on the floor

We saved a spot for you
It’s yours if you want it
And all you have to do
Is tell the truth

Yeah, I see your hands are shaking
Yeah, you can’t stop swaying
Yeah, you say you’re fine tonight but…
Yeah, I know you’re faking

I’m not trying to say that I’m
A stranger to scandal
Or that I’ve never bitten off
More than I could handle

But true friends help you find your way back home
When you get lost
And all you have to do
Is tell them where you are

Yeah, I see your hands are shaking
Yeah, you can’t stop swaying
Yeah, you say “I’m fine tonight,” but…
Yeah, I know you’re faking

Yeah, I hear you talkin’ babe, but…
Can’t tell what you’re saying
Yeah, you say “I’m fine tonight,” but…
We all know you’re faking

We all know you’re faking, baby…
We all know you’re fake.
We all know you’re faking, baby…
We all know you’re fake.

I See Red

Written By: Stacey Meyer,Jim Watkins

Like a ghost
I go unnoticed by most
And though some feel me near
They can’t make out what I need
And then I cannot appear

And fall I sometimes do
I fell right into you
You didn’t brush me off
You called me luck

And I’ll fly away, I always do
But not before I bring good luck to you
Hard shell wings beat and say

I see red
And I don’t feel mad at all
And I don’t feel sad at all
Could it be I feel free because
You really can see me?

And although you can recall
All of the bitter things I’ve said
It’s not always a negative to me
When I see red

I suppose it may seem strange to some
But we fall on everyone
At one time or another
But not everybody cares

Of all the crawly things you knew
This ladybug is true
So I’ll crawl longer
If you want me to

Then I’ll fly away, I always do
But not before I bring good luck to you
Hard shell wings beat and say

I see red
And I don’t feel mad at all
And I don’t feel sad at all
Could it be I feel free because
You really can see me?

And although you can recall
All of the bitter things I’ve said
It’s not always a negative to me
When I see red.

Symply Sid

Written By: Jim Watkins,Stacey Meyer

Vicious only was so in rumor and in deed
His performance lacked his only act
The drama no one needs
What a waste of space; of a pretty face
Other things so easy to replace
But it didn't have to be that way
He chose to kill it all away

And I see this in you too
I don't say this to be cruel
I say this to you simply, Sid
Because somebody has to

Rise up
Pull yourself up
'Cause the hands that help you out are fading fast
And it's the last time I'll ask you
Rise up
Pull yourself up

Barrett was a brilliant lunatic
And gifted basket case
A ticking bomb set to implode
Leaving dreams and chaos in his wake
His work left some to wonder
Was genius or madness true
But either way he was tragedy
And so my dear are you

I don't say this to be cruel
I can't watch you play the fool
I say this you simply, Sid
Because somebody has to
I don't say this to be mean
Wish I could shake you and wake you til you see
Your nightmare's just a dream
It could be a beautiful dream

A beautiful dream...

Rise up
Pull yourself up
'Cause the hands that help you out are fading fast
And it's the last time I'll ask you
Rise up
Pull yourself up

Rise up
Pull yourself up

Shiftless

Written By: Jim Watkins,Stacey Meyer

She traded in her lace for ribbons
He laid in wait for his next victim

White spats walk fast
Down darkened alleys
Nice cape nice hat
Lure little dollies

Drugs and wine and dine
Oh, ain’t we lucky?
We’re feelin’ fine
Why would we worry?

Step inside
My shiny car
I love you
For just who you are

Step inside
I’ve got treats for you
Lucky you
Your dream’s come true

Icy cold
Each lovely face
Ripped to ribbons
Tarnished lace
We forgot the punished ones names
While his lives on
His sin found fame

He waits…
Calm…
Silent…
Shiftless.

The filth of years corrodes your tears
The needs drown out all your fears
Look where the life you lead has led
The devil sleeping in your bed

Icy cold
Each lovely face
Ripped to ribbons
Tarnished lace
We forgot the punished ones names
While his lives on
His sin found fame

She traded in her lace for ribbons
He laid in wait for his next victim...
