WOODSHED RECORDS IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT IT WILL NOW BE BOOKING SHOWS FOR ARKANSAS’ TOP ROCK BAND

FURTHER DOWN

Born in the Arkansas hills and with a deep-rooted appreciation for blues-tinged Southern rock as well as radio-ready album rock, five-piece rock band Further Down has arrived. With the release of the band’s third full-length album, 7 Years Hard Luck (August 21, 2007), it’s clear that Further Down is on a mission to bring rock to its roots and back again to the present.

Further Down features rock royalty in their bloodlines (the two guitarists are cousins of Tommy Shaw of Styx and Jim Dandy Mangrum of BOA), and the band delivers songwriting hooks and play their instruments with precision like a group that’s been together for twenty years.

* New songs on national television through Games Productions Inc. of New York.
* Over 35 main stage concerts with national major acts.

Further Down is the most recognized original southern rock band from Arkansas since the early days of Black Oak Arkansas and they are actively seeking new agents to expand their level of exposure to the general public. If you are interested in setting up a showcase or want to contact the Band please contact:

SEE WHAT THE CRITICS ARE SAYING ABOUT FURTHER DOWN AND THEIR MUSIC.

ROCK IS LIFE (2008) - “Get Your Rocks Off” is a good old’ southern rocker that is sure to make Lynyrd Skynyrd proud. There’s no doubt that this song gets the crowd moving. The dual guitar work of Robby Rigsbee and Josh Copeland steal the show on “Burnt Side Down.” “Hit or Miss” is a perfect radio track for Further Down… One of the most impressive self-released albums I’ve ever heard. Further Down can kick out the southern rock jams as well as the southern blues on their latest album 7 Years Hard Luck. Let’s put some money behind this machine and get them rolling!”

NIGHTFLYING PUBLICATIONS (2007) - "Northeast Arkansas' Further Down has been making quite a name for itself over the years. Their fans and critics alike agree – these young men are really onto something..."

GONE COUNTRY MAGAZINE (2008) - “It isn't any secret that rock bands, and more importantly southern rock tinged bands have started to find their way into the country market and attract some fans that other wise wouldn't have found their music. Arkansas based Further Down is the next band to do just that. ...This is a great album for the rockers or for those folks that came to modern country from a rock background. Further Down plays fist pumping, beer swiggin', rock-n-roll with a backbone, so if that's your thing then this is the band for you.”

HARDROCK HAVEN (2008) – “Further Down is Southern rock after it’s been pissed off for a good long while. Sound confusing? It’s simple really: sure, there are definitely Southern rock roots in the band’s music. But it’s really just a straight up rock attitude and sound. 7 Years Hard Luck might best be described as 3 Doors Down spends a weekend with the Black Crows and Lynyrd Skynyrd stopped by for a surprise visit.”

UNSIGNED THE MAGAZINE (Jan. 2008) - "There’s no doubt that these guys are great musicians with impressive abilities on their respective instruments and have the knack for writing great hooks. I see great potential for them. I say potential but they could already be 'there'."

ARKANSAS TIMES (2007) - “….Tight, powerful, and with new songs that struck a chord, plus a couple at the end from their earlier days that are topflight rock songs. This is a rock band that in constantly touring the region has learned to perform to a level seen from big-time touring acts….”

BANNED PROMOTIONS (2008) - "A new era of modern Southern Rock is here - and it goes by the name of Further Down."

BLOGCRITICS MAGAZINE (2008) - “Hard edged blues played with a great deal of class and aplomb always puts a smile on the gob now doesn't it? They've got the attitude and swagger down pat...successfully capturing that live feel that these bands are so famous for. Southern rock tinged blues never gets old. On the strength of this album this band certainly doesn’t deserve hard luck but much success.”

VEXAR ENTERTAINMENT (2007) - "7 Years hard Luck" by Arkansas band Further Down is a great Southern Rock CD reminiscent of greats from Lynard Skynard to The Black Crowes with a couple Matchbox 20-esque mainstream songs peppered in to keep "7 Years" new and fresh with an updated sound.

WHAT YOU SAY

Written By: M. Collins, R. Rigsbee, D. Dorton and J. Copeland

Things are so different now
Remembering late last night
Just asking myself how
Because you’re out of sight
It came from nowhere
You left so unexpected
I’m wondering where’s my note
You never left it

No matter what you say
I need you anyway
I know I’m breaking down
But I just need you now

No matter what you say
I need you anyway
I know I’m breaking down
But I just need you now

It’s what you say
What you say to me
I think I’m falling down

It’s what you say
What you say to me
I think I’m falling down

Think you’d come around
Still using patience
Screaming your name out loud
Why can’t you hear it
I never meant to fade
Or change your feelings
You’er just so full of hate
I’m not believing

No matter what you say
I need you anyway
I know I’m breaking down
But I just need you now

No matter what you say
I need you anyway
I know I’m breaking down
But I just need you now

It’s what you say
What you say to me
I think I’m falling down

It’s what you say
What you say to me
I think I’m falling down

I'm standing at the edge
I can’t hear a word your saying

No matter what you say
I need you anyway
I know I’m breaking down
But I just need you now

It’s what you say
What you say to me
I think I’m falling down
It’s what you say
What you say to me
I think I’m falling down

What you say
What you say

ONE NIGHT STAND UP

Written By: M. Collins, R. Rigsbee, D. Dorton and J. Copeland

It must have been two times in one night that made you fall in love
Was it the cigarette after it that made you think of us
You didn’t seem to mind when we were dancing in the shadows
Oh but now you got me thinking I should hang by the gallows

Yeah, so many times I watched you walk away
I never see you run
And I know the differences are in the way you lie

One night stand up
So let me see you smile
One night stand up
At the end of the line

When you heard the door bell did you think it would be roses
Or did you seem surprised at an eviction notice
Cause baby I know you and you know who’s who now
Oh and every little bit makes me wonder how you go down

Yeah, so many times I watched you walk away
I never see you run
And I know the differences are in the way you lie

One night stand up
So let me see you smile
One night stand up
At the end of the line
Cause what I feel for you is wrapped up in these sheets when I’m gone
One night stand up
Until I get off

One night stand up
So let me see you smile
One night stand up
At the end of the line
Cause what I feel for you is wrapped up in these sheets when I’m gone
One night stand up
Until I get off

Oh yeah…….

HELLO

Written By: Collins, Rigsbee, Dorton and Copeland

Hey old friend
You don’t know my surface face
But I came to you in a dark and lonely place
Hey old friend you don’t have to pretend
So come with me or you’ll never see me again

Lay down your tears
Because it’s time again to never be afraid

Hello, don’t let it go
I said I wore you in my veins.
Hello, don’t let it go
I can take you to this place
Hello don’t let it go
I said I wore you in my veins.
Hello, don’t let it go don’t be afraid

Hello old friend
I have been waiting for so long
For you to come with me and be forever strong
Hey old friend
I bought the soul you sold
Some come with me and you will never grow old

Lay down your tears
Because it’s time again to never be afraid

Hello, don’t let it go
I said I wore you in my veins
Hello, don’t let it go
I can take you to this place
Hello don’t let it go
I said I wore you in my veins
Hello, don’t let it go don’t be afraid

Lay down your tears
Because it’s time again to never be afraid
Oh Yeah

Hello, don’t let it go
I said I wore you in my veins
Hello, don’t let it go
I can take you to this place
Hello don’t let it go
I said I wore you in my veins
Hello, don’t let it go don’t be afraid

BLACK & BLEACH

Written By: M. Collins, R. Rigsbee, D. Dorton and J. Copeland

Come down from the mountain and get crazy with the thieves
It’s been a long long time for us to just not speak
You got your cotton mouth and bloodshot eyes
I know your gonna do it again
But when the sun is high you ain’t you’re just a hypocrite

Yeah… But I don’t say maybe I’ll burn your city down
And I said I’ll see lady on the other side of my town
And I don’t say maybe I’ll burn your city down
Oh ………….Yeah (Just ask Robby about that one)

Well I keep my word to not think twice but I know that you got to lie
You got your fake ass smile and you’ll be back tonight
To come back down and bring that cash and tell me what you want me to give
Because the dark side of your life is where I live

Yeah… but I don’t say maybe I’ll burn your city down
And I said I’ll see lady on the other side of my town
And I don’t say maybe I’ll burn your city down
Oh ………….Yeah

Don’t do this to me baby cause you know I love you so
Don’t do this to me baby yeah I’ll never let you go
Don’t do this to me baby yeah you know I love you so
Don’t do this to me baby cause you know I’ll never let you go

Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na (7x)
Mama oh Cause my hair’s too fucking long and I’m from the wrong side of your black and bleach

POWER OF REVELATION

Written By: by M. Collins, R. Rigsbee, D. Dorton and J. Copeland

My girl, she takes what she can get
Oh she’s my world but she ain’t got me yet
The words she’s throwing stone me
But oh she don’t own me yet

So take that lipstick off
And lose that cigarette cough
It’s time for feeling
Oh I know that you say the same damn things I’ve said
With the power of revelation
I said I know that you say the same damn things I‘ve said

Maiden, she takes off her Sunday dress
Oh my maiden, when she gives me her Sunday best

And I’d lie cheat and steal to get another piece of that

So take that lipstick off
And lose that cigarette cough
It’s time for feeling
Oh I know that you say the same damn things I’ve said
With the power of revelation
I said I know that you say the same damn things I‘ve said

Power
The power of revelation
The power of revelation
I said I know that you say the same damn things I‘ve said

MOCCASIN BLUES

Written By: M. Collins, R. Rigsbee, D. Dorton, J. Copeland and P. Matthews

Sleepy man took a nap in the bottoms
He took his last breathe, had his dream today
Cause when he woke that moccasin got him
He just closed his eyes and he began to pray - Yeah

Sleepy man laid to rest by the river
That old Mississippi gonna wash his sins away
Because when I look back you know that I quiver
On the things that man just never did say - Yeah

So tell me how does it feel for you today
So tell me how does it feel
That sleepy man gonna dance with the devil today

Won’t you think of me every time the wind blows
And every time that rain hits the ground
And tell my old lady that I’m gone tomorrow
And I’m so lost I’ll never be found – Yeah

So tell me how does it feel for you today
So tell me how does it feel
That sleepy man prayed today
Now I know
Never gonna see these eyes
You’re never gonna live this life
Never gonna tell the truth
But give me a chance I know not what I do
Yeah He prayed today
Oh he prayed

So tell me how does it feel for you today
So tell me how does it feel
That sleepy man gonna dance with the devil today

GET YOUR ROCKS OFF

Written By: M. Collins, R. Rigsbee, D. Dorton and J. Copeland

Wish you could feel my pain
Wish you could stop this train
Wish you could change the rain
But it’s all a phase

Why is your sky so blue
Why do I hate you
Why don’t you have a clue
You’ve been in a daze

Get your rocks off baby (get your rocks off)
Cause I don’t give a damn
All I want is peace of mind (if you can)
I’m not sure if you can
So get you rocks off baby (get your rocks off)
Cause I don’t give a damn
All I want is peace of mind (if you can)
I’m not sure if you can

Guess things will never change
Living on a different page
I’ve got all this rage
I’ll always be the same
I’ve got you as my hassle
You gotta get out of my castle
This nails on chalkboard sound
It won’t stop your fucking around yeah

Get your rocks off baby (get your rocks off)
Cause I don’t give a damn
All I want is peace of mind (if you can)
I’m not sure if you can
I know you get you rocks off baby (get your rocks off)
Cause I don’t give a damn
All I want is peace of mind (if you can)
I’m not sure if you can

No I don’t give a damn

(Oh oh) I don’t give a damn
(Get your rocks off baby if you can)
(Get your rocks baby)
No I don’t give a damn
(Get your rocks off baby if you can)
(Get your rocks baby)
No I don’t give a
I don’t give a
I don’t give a damn

HIT OR MISS

Written By: M. Collins, R. Rigsbee, D. Dorton and J. Copeland

Wish I could wipe your tears and dry your face
Wish I could set you straight that I’m gonna stay
And every little bit is taking its toll on you
I’ve been noticing now

That I never see you looking like you never want to see me again
(Never see me again)
And I’m sick of kissing your lips they are cursing me inside of your head
(Every single time you said)

I can hear your cries in the dark of the night
Cause you’ve been doing it for days
I want to make you feel that it’s all okay
And I know that you’re thinking it too

Because I never see you looking like you never want to see me again
(Never see me again)
And I’m sick of kissing your lips they are cursing me inside of your head
(Every single time you said)

Yeah you said I never hit or miss I only push and shove again
Oh you said I never hit or miss I only push and shove again
I said I only push and shove

Wish I could wipe your tears
And dry your face
Oh you’ve been doing it for days
I want to make you feel that it’s all okay

Oh because I never see you looking like you never want to see me again
(Never see me again)
And I’m sick of kissing your lips they are cursing me inside of your head
(Every single time you said)

Yeah you said I never hit or miss I only push and shove again
You know you said I never hit or miss I only push and shove again
I said I only push and shove Again

With your lovin shining down on me

Self-entitled CD that was recorded locally consisting of all original FD music.

“the CHLOE sessions” (2003)
The song “TRACK OF TIME” immediately became the number one request at “THE BUZZ” KBZR 95.9. Songs from the CD “TIMES IN HERE”, “ROOM IN MYSELF”, “DEAR JOHN” and “WHAT YOU SAY” continue to receive spins on several radio stations across central and northeast Arkansas. After the release of “the CHLOE sessions” the HASTINGS STORE in Jonesboro AR reported that “the CHLOE sessions” was their number two (2) selling CD behind 50 CENT’S “GET RICH OR DIE TRYING”. The store has promoted the CD in the “NEWEST AND HOTTEST” section and the CD is presently sold out. PRODUCER JOHN THOMAS GRIFFITH (Producer and Guitarist for COWBOY MOUTH) produced 4 songs on “the Chloe sessions”. “The Chloe Sessions for the band Further Down, went extremely well. The guys in the band performed their tasks with precision and skill..…these guys sound like a cross between Stained, Stone Temple Pilots and Three Doors Down. Great group of guys. Check them out.”
