For Harmon front-man Darren Harmon, it’s a labor of love. For his fans, it’s a chance to catch a glimpse of the rocker in a rare intimate, acoustic performance.
YYC Rocks For Diabete
s takes place this Friday evening, starting at 6pm, and Saturday evening from 5:30—and features over 30 of Calgary’s best bands. Tickets are $10 at the door (possible other points of sale TBA). All 100% proceeds from this night benefit The Alberta Diabetes Foundation, for use in providing Albertans with the best diabetes research, prevention, treatment and care.
Harmon kicks off the event at 6pm Friday, and as the first note is hit Darren Harmon will feel exceptionally proud to be there. Why? “I suffer from Type-1 diabetes, so it’s a real honor to be involved in this show. Any time I get the chance to give back and help others who share the same condition, I jump at it.”
YYC Rocks For Diabetes, featuring Harmon, takes place at Studio 82 Calgary, 510 Heritage Drive SW.

Singer songwriter, Darren Harmon has always had a creative passion, which shines through on his debut album "Press Play".
With songs that range from a fun, vibrant groove, to all out rock and roll anthems, this album could be the soundrack to the liveliest party.
HARMON has performed live at venues in Nashville, Calgary, and around Western Canada. Including Calgary's 2010 Beerfest, the FUEL 90.3 Big Rock Star Contest, and YYC Rocks for Diabetes.
