InTheMeanTime is a collaboration of musicians from multiple bands in and around Orange County, CA.

InTheMeanTime was formed by Fernando Navarro during a break from The Almighty Grind, fulfilling his love for heavier music, a format different to what the Almighty Grind Brand was about. Fernando reached out to Mike Reynaud the bands 2nd guitarist and long time close friend. Both guitarists sharing a love for heavy music since adolescence they reached out to Kyle Harrington. Kyle being a recent cool close friend and not currently in a band but with a lot of talent musically, the ideas and riffs started brewing. Mike for the meantime created beats using ProTools to accompany the riffs and ideas being thrown around, via email and text messages. The seemingly impossible task to get back to work with The Almighty Grind due to band member schedule conflicts fueled the frustration of having to place their love for live performances on hold, placing the band in an indefinite hiatus.

Fernando returned back to creating, writing to fill the void with Mike and Kyle, deciding to no longer treat this collaboration as a side project, but give it life and see where it goes. Through a mutual friend of the band, Fernando reached out to Rich Lopez who at the time was band less . Formerly of the Thrash Metal Inland Empire Band Affliction, and most recently of the Alternative Rock Band Porcelain Pistols. Rich came highly recommended citing the direction the group wanted to take a few sessions and the foursome found themselves in a groove they knew something special was brewing. The search was on for a voice, A.D.S. from the Almighty Grind came in to check out what was brewing, along with Dj. SubZero a few jams together, it was apparent the band was complete. Now to make sense of what this band is literally it is  "InTheMeanTime" . Since Rich is very much a part of Porcelain Pistols and the rest of the guys are still keeping The Almighty Grind alive, the bands name could not have been more appropriate. #InTheMeanTime.
