Growing up in a musical family with Mexican and Irish parents, Boston-based singer-songwriter Jetta was influenced by the diverse sounds she heard at home and on the radio. As a child in California, she learned to play the piano and guitar at age 9, and began writing music at age 13. Building upon her solid foundation as a music student at Berklee College of Music, she continued to explore new styles, inspired by Pop, R&B and Latin artists.
Today, Jetta borrows from a broad palate of musical genres, from groove-based R&B to Latin to Top 40 dance pop. Her songwriting is complemented by her smooth vocal style, while cover songs offer the listener something familiar, yet entirely new. No matter how big the room, Jetta’s sets feel intimate – she performs with intensity and exudes warm sensuality. Primarily a solo artist, she also enjoys performing with her acoustic trio and her 6 piece band – whichever the gig requires.
