Lyrics

In The Night

Written By: Justin Goodrich

The devil takes her toll on your heart
She’ll break you down, break you down
Till you fall to the ground
You’re never one for second guessing
When everything that you want
Comes to tear you apart

Feeling of falling never ending
Coming down, coming down
Till there’s no one around
I’ve been here trying to escape this
Never done, never done
Till I’m long dead and gone

And you’re fear of falling apart
In The Night

Take one last look in these eyes
Before the dark consumes thy light
No force of fear of ending
Could break the bond we make tonight
And you’re fear of falling apart
Won’t stop you from dancing
Won’t stop you from taking those chances
In The Night

The devil takes her toll on your heart
She’ll break you down, break you down
Till you fall to the ground
You’re never one for second guessing
When everything that you want
Comes to tear you apart

After All These Years

Written By: Justin Goodrich

What used to be used to comfort me
Lost in the confines of my fragile state of mind
I wished for certainty and certainly it ensured me
That the answers are hard to find

Face to face, mirrored round and round
Madly spinning, taunting, tearing me for more
My conscience coincides cohesively it seems
But never lets me make a sound

I'm leaving you behind
Know why?

'Cause after all these years
I've shattered all my fears
Crawling towards the light
Will this begin or end tonight?

Where to go? Where to turn too now?
Left to the silence of my conscience so loud
Walking in certainty of circles burning
Crossing all the bridges of my life

I'm leaving you behind
Know why?

'Cause after all these years
I've shattered all my fears
Walking towards the light
Will this begin or end tonight?

Love You Still

Written By: Justin Goodrich

I never wanted it to end this way
I never wanted you to go away
I know that I love, love you still

I know you didn't mean the words you said
When you were up and crying in your bed
I know that you love, love me still

So here we are
So far from grace
As lifeless tears
Fall down your face

Oh how I can't wait
To meet you again
And hear you say
To me

I never wanted it to end this way
I never wanted you to go away
I know that I love, love you still

Struggle To Breathe

Written By: Justin Goodrich

well our luck ran out
as we started to get by
take a deep breathe dear
as i wipe the tears from your eyes

is there a way to see the light
from the depths of the hole we lie
well we're in this thing together
i'll be right by your side

i'll hold your hand
through the darkness as we rise
i'll be your man
as we make our way out of this uphill fight

don't be afraid
as we make our way
my love stands strong
as we struggle to breathe

feel a cool wind blow
it's the hope of a new day come
don't stop fighting now
we've only just begun

my heart is yours
i'd give my last breathe to hear you say
my life it starts
and ends with one look into your eyes

don't be afraid
as we make our way
our love stands strong
as we struggle to breathe

lay your head in my hand
and rest your weary heart
no one'll ever hurt you now
and we'll never be apart

speak from your heart
and tell me the words i know are true
we'll never die
our hearts were destined from the start

now don't be afraid
as we make our way
our love stands strong
as we struggle to breathe

Set List

As a solo acoustic artist, I adapt to any stage and crowd of any size, atmosphere and mood. (And can also have a 3-5 piece band.)

My set lists can range up to several hours worth of original material, or cover material. With covers, I typically like to perform popular songs from the 50's through the 90's, with a special focus on the melodic, catchy and crooning.

-Example Set List:-
Alison (Elvis Costello cover)
In The Night (original)
This Magic Moment (Jay & The Americans cover)

Deeper Inside (original)
Just Like Heaven (The Cure cover)
In Between The Panels (original)
Love You Still (original)
Jockey Full of Bourbon (Tom Waits cover)
Last Stop (original)

(I like to mix originals and covers to make it fun for everyone, myself and the audience. But I can adapt to the requests of the venue or crowd.)
