Naked, the sophomore project by Country/Americana artist Katy Kiefer, receives accolades from Country Interviews Online stating that “fans will be pleased with the rootsy down-home feel of her voice and the vulnerability in her lyrics.”

With the producing help of heavy hitter Jim Lightman (Lee Ann Womack, India Arie), Kiefer puts together a collection that focuses on the versatility of her voice from the hard hitting toe-tappers “Girls with Tattoos” and “Rainmaker” to her sensual side on “If I Were” and “Sweet Surrender.” Still, the two standouts on this CD of many quality tracks are the opening number “Baby, So Long” and “Caught up in Your Gravity,” which is currently showing some promising numbers on the radio charts."
In addition, Katy heads to Tallahassee for the 40th Annual Springtime Jam on March 29th. Her performance on the Country Stage presented by BB&T begins at 3 PM that evening. Last year, the Southeast Tourism Society listed the Springtime Jam among their Top 20 for Events in 2007.

Katy has been on stage performing since the age of four. Unlike most child prodigies who have family in the music biz or "stage parents", Katy literally "stumbled" into the music industry when her mom enrolled her in dance & piano lessons after a childhood accident. "I was Daddy's little girl when he'd leave for work in the morning that I would chase after him down the street. I split my head open twice doing this, and after the second time it happened I had two left feet. So mom put me in this dance school and from the first moment I was on stage I was hooked."
She made the inevitable move to Nashville in August of 2002. After commuting from Clearwater, FL for over six years in pursuit of her dream of becoming a country recording artist. The regional airplay and attention she received with the single she released the summer of 2002 convinced her to take her act to the next level and establish herself in the heart of music city.
Within months, Katy landed a publishing deal and was writing with some of the top writers in town. Katy spent the next year writing everyday and performing at songwriter nights and clubs around town. While working days for an independant label and singing demos, Katy spent her evenings in the studio co-producing her CD.
Her first single "My Song" was well received by country radio as well as her follow up release "Little Man". Three songs total charted on Music Row Country charts.
Currently Katy has released her first single to radio "Caught Up In Your Gravity" off her sophmore CD under Vesta Records 'Naked' available through all major distribution outlets online.
