Lucid the Artist

Lucid The Artist was raised in North Carolina, Florida, and New Jersey. You consistently hear messages of love, truth, struggle, pain, and hope in his music as he lyrically portrays his life experiences from the hoods and ghettos of the east coast of America to beautiful British Columbia. His voice is mellow, unique, emotional, and easy to listen to. Not many artists write their lyrics, produce their beats, rap, sing, perform, and engineer their music with the quality and consistency that Lucid does. In 2010 he released the mixtape "No Rhyme Like the Present" and the poetry book "Lucid Poetry Vol.1-Reflections" both filled with deep, spiritual, inspirational messages. In 2011 he founded Truth and Love Cultivation Association, a non-profit working to dissolve cultural, religious, social and racial barriers in communities. In 2012 he founded Str8 Shoota Entertainment and released his first single "High Grade" late September. The album "High Grade Music" is set for release in 2014.
