Macy Medford was nominated Pop Artist of the Year at the 21st LA Music Awards. She received her nomination at the famed Whiskey a Go Go where star artists such as Jim Morrison & The Doors got their big break. President Al Bowman stated, “Her music is so fresh and new….and she is such a dynamic girl!” He went on to say, “We are so proud to have her as a nominee this year!”

Macy’s first single, “Just Me and You” hit international radio it’s first week of being released and also went straight to #1 on the Top 40 charts on Tween Pop Radio. It was the first song to ever debut and hit number one the same week. She also released the music video for the single, which was videoed at Marilyn Monroe's former home in Studio City, CA. Her Freshman album was released January 27th, 2012 by Tate Music Group and is available on iTunes. Macy says, “I’m really excited for the world to finally hear what I have been working on for the past year and half of my life.”

Most recently Macy was awarded Grand Prize from the Dallas Songwriter's Association for her single "Just Me and You." As an avid writer, Macy says, "If feels great for people to feel my lyrics the way I do." She has also been featured on FOX Morning Show and will be appearing again September 12th.

Macy was born and raised in Katy, TX and is an advanced honor sophomore student at Seven Lakes High School. Her mother stated, “She is a very smart girl but I knew her passion was performing when she was three years old. She finished performing in recital and cried all the way home and then slept in her tutu and full stage make up. I knew from that moment on she loved being on the stage.” Macy’s passions have stayed true to performance in all areas of acting, dancing, and singing. She has played leading roles such as Scapino in the Italian play Scapino, Iago in Aladdin, Annie in the musical Annie and Alice in Alice in Wonderland as well as a national Disney Channel commercial where she is represented by The ESI Network.

Macy now spends a lot of her time traveling back and forth to Los Angeles for auditions and for her music career. As a songwriter, she teamed up with with multi-award winning writer and producers Jonathan George of JG Entertainment and Anthony Mazza to create her album. She co-wrote the eight songs on her album. George says, “Macy is a great writer. Her music is pop infused with jazz vocals that are so unique.” He goes onto say, “You can’t help but love her music…it is something very different but great! You will walk away singing her songs!”
