"Album Review- Farwest Almanac"

'Til The Wheels Fall Off' is a collection of good-timey tales for college students that aren't actually in college. Matt Owens is in the now and wears no fancy scarves to try to fool you. He has a cautious voice that at times, reminds me of an old friend I've never had. He sings of woeful moments, sin and trouble and his boom-boom thwack harmonica remembers Neil Young's "Out On The Weekend". - J.R. Sage

Bio

Matt Owens & Jason Hiller met in 2003 or 2004 (who can remember) and slowly (and I do mean slowly), began writing songs together. In the summer of 2007, they set out to record what would become 'Til The Wheels Fall Off', a ten song collection of country infused rock 'n roll songs that explore life, love, dirty bars, six-shooters, trains and other such things. The record was recorded at Walden Recordings in Beverly Hills, California and produced by Jason Hiller himself. Marc Ford (formerly of The Black Crowes), Chris Joyner and others came by to lend a hand. Sometime later, Scott Barkan and Andy Zacharias joined the fold and the band began playing live in and around Los Angeles.
