Monique has been performing on stage since the age of 3 1/2. Ultimately a shy girl, performing was a way to come out of her shell & express herself. She was in all the musicals throughout grammar school at Our Lady of Grace Regional in Somerdale, NJ & Highland Regional High in Blackwood, NJ (alum former Dancin' On Air host, Andy Gury), where she graduated 5th in the class. Monique interned at the ABC affiliate WPVI News Assignment desk, but quickly determined mainstream news was not so uplifting. From there she went on to become a commercial dance music & news radio air personality during her college years on Boss 97fm WBSS, & had her own high rated dance radio show in the South Jersey Shore area on FUN 98.7fm WFNN. Monique attended Rowan University earning a BA in Mathematics as well as Communications (Radio/TV/Film), and after receiving her MFA in Theatre from New York's Sarah Lawrence College where she also partook in internships at VH1 & the 103.5 WKTU Ru Paul Morning Show. Monique dove into all areas of the performing arts in which she was interested & had an ability including creating several campy dance music songs with social messages. Being of the American Revolutionary War hero / Declaration of Independence signer, Patrick Henry's lineage, although not rich, she "inherited" his freedom "peaceful" fighting spirit. Monique also has had several dance tracks on major labels.

Monique Marissa Lukens is a member of SAG-AFTRA. She wrote, produced, & performed in her own 2-hour dramedy mystery entitled MURDER UNDER A PORCH - NO KILLING INVOLVED in Philadelphia, PA, New Jersey, and Hollywood, CA. Don't worry, no one gets hurt, as she is an advocator for non-violence. She also performed at Philadelphia's Shubin Theatre as "Wooden Head" in the staged reading of Sal Darigo's WOODEN HEAD, a play about a alcoholic, whose "conversation" with his niece's puppet finally gets on the path to a clean & sober life. Monique volunteered for the The American Red Cross during the Hurricane Katrina aftermath knowing she could have been one of those affected, as growing up in part in Ocean City, NJ she experienced hurricanes, major floods, and blizzards.

With the West Coast more open minded (And a little warmer) to vegetarians and the like, as well as where the tv work is, Monique transplanted herself to Los Angeles 7 years ago from her original home state, New Jersey / Pennsylvania. She is concentrating on acting, dance music, and writing. The projects Monique selects to work on often have some kind of social message or benefit. Some of her songs touch upon gay issues/rights, attempted date rape, & the tragedies of drug use stemming from peer pressure. She hosted an independent weekly electronica / social topic show titled DUI ! Radio - Dancing Under the Influence of Electronica (MySpace.com/DUIElectronica) for two years bringing NJ & CA together as well as the rest of the world.

Monique's been a vegetarian for 11 years, for the past 6 of those vegan, & now for the past year mostly living food / raw vegan! She fulfilled a 1,000 volunteer signature gathering commitment to lessen farm animal abuse in California, & produced, hosted, & sang at a successful Hollywood Music Awards Electronica Showcase / Prop 2 Awareness Party! All of these actions helped in passing CA Prop 2 during the Nov. 2008 Election becoming the statute The Prevention of Farm Cruelty Act. She is guest starring in the new Clothes I Hate on Look TV where she is featured surrendering pieces of fur & leather clothing, which she though were imitation, or she wouldn't have purchased them!

Monique has volunteered for a plethora of events and non profit organizations while in Los Angeles including Songsalive!, American Cinematheque, Animal Acres, New Music Seminar, Southeast European Los Angeles Film Festival & the Inktip Pitch Summit. She's attended many music conferences as well performed multiple times at the WMC in South Beach Miami. She's also attended the Amsterdam Dance Event & MIDEM in Cannes, France.

Unique Monique's socially conscious, Hi-NRG dance track I Can Breathe was charted around the nation including Philadelphia, NYC, Chicago, & LA, Chicago in 2004. The revised track will soon be available on an EP. Monique's song awards include: Broadjam.com's Pop Lyric Contest 1st Place Winner (April '07) as well as periodically entering Broadjam.com's Electronic - Production - Female Vocals, Electronic - Electronica, & Electronic - Trance Top 10 Charts, The 2007 Singer/Songwriter Awards Round 3 Honourable Mention, The 2007 Singer/Songwriter Awards Round 5 Honourable Mention, the Institute for Independent Music (IFI) Best Electronica Song ('07), 100% Music Writing Songwriting Contest Honorable Mentio

Lyrics

She Wants No Boyfriend, Just A Wife

Written By: Women Speak Out

She rolls up her stockings.
Puts red on her lips
She paints dark purple on her fingertips
She's sultry and sexy
Her body a 10
There's only one problem
She doesn't like men

(Chorus)
Lipstick lesbian
Oh so feminine
She looks like heaven
But she's a lesbian

Maybe she's been harassed by men lurching
And feels a female would be more nurturing
Whereas Men have been too demanding
And he spirit, body, and dreams not understanding

When men see her
They really turn on
Until they realize
They can't play along
'Cause guys can't join in her little love games
She doesn't like men
She only likes dames
A strange sort of chick
Most men make her sick
There's no room to kick if you don't wear lipstick.

(Chorus 2ce)

Well some men just want to get laid
So if you're a guy hearing this song Don't be surprised if women walk away

Prays Prays Prays Prays Prays
She prays to God
Please straighten her life
She wants no boyfriend
Just a wife
Her friends and family
Think it's just a phase
Or could she
Really
Be gay?

I'm a virtuous lesbian
Let's get married in Honolulu

Try Europe or Canada

Oh it's just too weird

Oh look
She bought herself
A handheld back massager

Actually it is.

Oh it's just too queer

Honey, that ain't no massager

Hahahahahahaha

Buyer beware
For she is near
She's the lipstick, lipstick lesbian
Mystique and sheik
Some call her a freak
The lipstick lesbian

(Chorus)

(Series of kisses)

Lipstick lesbian

Is it a genetic disorder

Oh so feminine

It could be her personal preference

She looks like heaven

I pray she needs counseling

But she's a lesbian

And like I don't

(Kiss)

(Respect & Honor Me) Don't Slip That Pill In My Drink

Written By: Monique Marissa Lukens

Don't slip that pill in my drink. This is not love; it's the black
devil's brew. Earn my love. For deceit will destroy you, and harness
your soul into a tunnel of blackness. Don't slip that pill in my drink.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I, I, I did not do any, any, anything to you, to you. To you

Don't go to the devil's base. Don't base, slip, thatpill, base, in my
drink. base, base,
base

Respect and honor me.

Hey you, standin', charming at the bar. Manipulating me, 'cause
that's the way you are.

(Sick gasps)

Don't, Don't, Don't, Don't, Don't, Don't
Don't

Ahhhhha
Ahhhhhha

This...is not love.

Earn my love.

I am sorry if you've never felt love.
I am sorry if you've felt pain.

But I'm, I am not to blame. So don't, don't cross the line.

Advantage of me, like I'm some common whore.

Charming, yes charming, you

Don't hurt her soul.

quite are.

Manipulating me,

Just because your numb

dark and cold

the way you want me,
to be.

Don't
slip
that
pill.

This is not love.

This is not love.

Don't slip that pill in my drink.

Older Women, Younger Guys <Cougars & Cubs> (AKA Cradle Robber)

Written By: Women Speak Out

(Spoken Intro)

Hello ladies
Has anyone ever said
Oh, he's too young for you
You'll wind up looking like his mom
Well I'm telling you
Men have been doing it for years
And now it's our turn
What's good for the gander
Is good for the geese

So it's ladies night
And everyone's looking outta sight!
You feel like a star
And you wanna dance
You see those younger guys over there
Ask them.

(Melody Begins)

We're looking on the dance floor
For you younger guys
You're so appealing
That's just our feeling

When we're with a younger guy
It's a natural high
So if your older than me sir
Don't even try
Hmmp! I'm not into that older man controlling thing
Us women should have the upper hand

You younger man
Makes me feel so neat
Ooh, they doesn't skip a ba ba beat
We're into kissing a younger man
Who is so sweet.

Ooh

That's kissing
Kissing only
Shame on you for trying to take advantage of an older women

So delighting
Electrifying
So tantalizing
Mmm
We have a preference
That we can't deny
When all's said and done
We like younger guys
Some don't think we're very sober
To be,
A female the cradle robber

Oh, you'll be 18 in 4 hours
Queen Bee, this one's for you!

We look good for our age don't we?
That's 'cause all you love muffins
keep us looking so young
Oh it's just one big cougar club in here

(Bridge Spoken)

Why officer! We had no idea they were that young!
Geez! Even we the cradle robbers have some standards.
Listen, before you arrest us
Could you just tell me how old you are?

Perfect!

Oh Madonna, Cher, Demi Moore
You ladies have the right idea
But dearly departed Anna Nicole Smith
89 girlfriend?!
What were you thinking!

(Melody Continues)

So delighting
Electrifying
So tantalizing
Mmm
We have our preference
That we can't deny
When all's said and done
We like younger guys
Some don't think it's very kosher
to be.
A female cradle robber.

And we have nothing against you older men
As long as you're with an older women (Chuckle)

Come on ladies
Take down their email addresses
And let's dance!

So delighting
Electrifying
So tantalizing
Mmm
We have our preference
That we can't deny
When all's said and done
We like younger guys
Some don't think we're very sober
To
A female cradle robber.
(Laugh)
Coochi-Coochi-Coo
End all war
And bring home the cubs
Peace

Wo Sind Sie?

Written By: Monique Marissa Lukens

Wo Sind Sie?

Wo sind sie?
Wo sind sie?
I love you for so long
And now you leave me on my own
I know that I can make it
But oh my God, I just can't take it.
All the years I gave to you
And now I'm left depressed and blue

Wo sind sie?
Wo sind sie?

Where are you tonight my dear?
Are you far or are you near?
Why did we say
We'd stay forever?
If we are now
Not together.
Was our love
Just a lie?
I ask this question
Why oh why?
Wo sind sie?

Now I ask myself oh why
Why I chose a man who'd make me cry
Wo sind sie?
Wo sind sie?

Wo sind sie?
Wo sind sie?

Wo sind sie?
Wo sind sie?

I want you back
Stay with me
I want to be happy
I want to be free
Then again
Maybe we can
Never be

Then again
Maybe we can
Never be
Wo sind sie?

Age of Machine

Written By: Monique Marissa Lukens and Steven McKeon

God created heave and earth
Giving man a place to keep
Through the passage of time
Man created an unnatural generation
A generation
Which dominated
The world.
This is known
As the age
Of the Machine.
Machine, machine, machine, machine, machine, machine, machine, machine
The age
Of the machine.

The age
Of the machine.

Wo Sind Sie? (Jake "Heartache" Benson trance mix)

Written By: Monique Marissa Lukens

You said you were coming back, back, back, back

Are you near?
Are you near?

Wo sind sie?
Wo sind sie?
Wo sind sie?

You said you were coming back, back, back, back
Was it just a lie?

Why did we say we'd stay together?
If we are now not together.
Was our love just a lie?
I ask this question why oh why?

Wo sind Sie?
Now I ask myself oh why
Why I chose a man who'd make me cry?

Forever.

She's A Star!

She's A Star!
Copyrighted by Monique Marissa Lukens

[Old-fashioned Bell sfx signaling a gasoline pump finishing a gas sale - then...]

[Verse 1:]
Fills up her tank with Re-gu-lar
High-Octane was never for her
Rides 11 miles to be a star
Destination - the ol' townie bar

[Verse 2:]
Just minutes away
Not so very far
Drives her lit'le ol', 2nd hand car
Knowin' so da'n well
No one's knowin' her name
'Cept when openin' that old rusty door (pronounce as "dar")

[Chorus:]
'Cause then she's a star
Yes she's the star
Every Wednesday evenin' at eight
Now she's the star
Yes she's a star
When shes sings
In our lit'le ol' bar

[Verse 3:]
Now they all know her home
And they know who's to blame
Why the girl's never got'en no fame
But that's all in the past
Coul-dn't made it to last
So she sings as they serve gin and beer

[Verse 4:]
And she sings in the night
Early mor-nin' too
Even sings through her lit'lle lunch-break
Whatever it takes
To catch that big break
Ten-years-plus now in-ves-ted at stake

[Chorus:]
Stiiiill she's a star
Yes she's a star
Wednesday evenin's at eight
Now she's a star
Yes she's a star
When she's singin'
When she's singin'
In our 'ol kar-a-o-ke bar

[Bridge:]
Credit cards overdrawn
Feelin' like a helpless pawn
When she's workin' her mind numbin' job
And her only release
As she's clean-in' the grease
Is to sing Miss Shania 'til dawn.

[Chorus:]
Oh she's a star
Yes she's a star
'though not on a grand line of scale
Now she's a star
Yes she's a star
To the boys drinkin' whiskey an' ale (Clinking mugs sfx)

[Chorus:]
They say she's a star
Yeah she's that star
There's no doubt in anyone's head
Now she's a star
Yes she's a star
Singin' Re' ba-Mac way past our bed

[Chorus:]
Oh she's a star
Yes she's a star
Wednesday Evenin's at 8
Now she's a star
Yes she's a star
When she's singsin'
When she's singin'
In our ol' kar-a-o-ke bar

[Chorus:]
Ooooh
She's the star
Yeah sheee's the star
Wednesday Evenin's at 8
Now she's the star
Yes she's the Staaaar (beat)
When she's singin'
When she's singin' (beat)
In our
Ol'
Kar-a-o...
ke...
baaaaaaaar.
