A mix of electronic synths, live instruments topped with a hip hop attitude is the best way to describe nelsonEncore. As a Philly native, he grew up in the inner-city and turned to music as the best method to articulate his thoughts. His music is a reflection of his experiences, influences and spans a wide variety of topics such as social disparities, relationships, partying and swagger. His undeniable lyrical and performance skills make him an unmatched artist and performer.
From 2005-2009 he participated and performed in various music clubs and organizations such as, Temple of Hip-Hop, The Mill and the Trinity College International Hip Hop Festival. He hosted his own radio show and was the founder of the Musaik Music Group, dedicated to promoting college musicians. in 2011 he wrote the score for "Almost Alone" an Kansas Festival award winning short film. Currently, he is producing and writing for Hip-Hop, R&B and Pop artists in New York City and composing the music for an upcoming iPhone app. His music can be heard on various indie outlets, blogs and internet radio.
