Bio

Atlanta, “Hate City,” representative and self-proclaimed “Punk Hip-Hopper,” Noci-The Misfit started his humble underground beginnings in 2002 fresh out of high school. Fusing his love for punk/alt rock bands such as Rage against the machine, Badbrains, The Distillers, The Ramones, Black Flag, and Minor Threat blended with undying passion for hip-hop heavyweights such as Wu-Tang, Nas, Big L, Eminem, Atmosphere, and Gangstarr. He took the mad scientist approach of blending it all together and seeing what would come out of it. What was born was an idealistic approach to emceeing, very aggressive in nature, and production based mainly out of gritty old school hip hop and punk rock samples. A breath of fresh air in the heavy soul and jazz based sampling going on in hip hop today. “I always thought it would be sick if Henry Rollins was an emcee,” says Noci. “The raw energy, lack of consideration, all what old school punk and hip hop stood for would be engrained in it,so I took that approach.” After taking a break in 2004 because of personal problems Noci gave up on the hip hop scene, only to Re-emerge in 2006. He began embracing his local punk D.I.Y. and hardcore scene. Being an equally talented musician and singer Noci started the prog punk band called Remember Golieth. “I was heavy into Black Flag, AFI, BadBrains and Pink Floyd at the time, it was a great outlet for me.” After a successful run in the local rock scene in Atlanta, the band broke up - leaving Noci with more punk swagger and also a whole new outlook on his vision for his progressive form of hip hop. He is currently producing with DJ Channellock and Skrull Invaders and has successfully been releasing mash up mixtapes such as Atlanta’s Bravest, ROCKstar, and Die-3x.

One thing is for sure - his contribution to hiphop and punk is not for the weak at heart.
