"Become Penfold DM's Executive Procducer"

Penfold DM have come up with a cunning scheme to finance their debut album.

Cough up €15 now, and you’ll straight away get a free EP followed by a pre-release copy of the aforementioned CD, which will have your name on the inlay as an ‘Executive Producer’, and a bonus disc of other Penfold DM material. You’ll also be entered into a draw to win t-shirts, four iPOD Nanos and a date with their bass-player Jamie who’s yet to be consulted but, hey, he’ll do whatever it takes. - Hot Press

This March Dublin based Pop/Rock 5-piece Penfold dm will independently release their debut album thanks to their fans!!!

“We decided to try fund the album by pre-selling it to our fans. In return, anyone who signed up got listed on the sleeve as an executive producer. They also got a second free mini album, and entered in a competition to win 4 i-pod Nano's and Tee-shirts”, says Penfold dm front-man Bren Cooke. “We’re also offering a chance to win a date with our bass player, but he doesn’t know about that yet!”

With tracks like "Dynamite" and lead single "I wish I was cool" the album promises to showcase their melody driven, poptastic rock and roll style, which has been wowing fans and gig-goers around the country for several years, with sell-out gigs in Whelan’s and the Sugar Club under their belt, as well as coming runner-up in the Irish stage of the Emergenza competition in Vicar Street in 2006.

Their previous single “Bus Ride” reached no. 20 in the Irish Singles chart in September 2007. The single received nationwide airplay, and was also featured in the Irish League of Credit Union’s “CU 4 Youth” DVD, which was distributed to 20,000 schools nationwide.

Penfold DM plan to be every music fans guilty little pleasure for 2010!!
