Hailing from Los Angeles California, Rockchild formed in 2006 and is composed of four members: Nathan Galli (guitars), Brian Hansen (drums/backing vocals), Zachary Self (bass/backing vocals) and Matthew Roseman (lead vocals). The band name says it all, "Rockchild", a sonic-melting pot of years spent drowning in decades of rock-n-roll music. From 60's Classic Rock to 80's metal/hard rock, into 90's Grundge and Alternative, the band is influenced by a broad spectrum of music to say the least. Currently promoting their debut 4-song demo, Demolisten, the band is working hard to expose their sound, hitting the streets and performing live throughout the greater Los Angeles area and surrounding desert communities. The debut single, "Winded", quickly gained recognition on online indie-music hotspot Garageband.com as track of the week, and the band continues to climb the charts right out of the gates. Hailing from Los Angeles, Rockchild is derived from decades of musical influences from the 60's through the millennium (excluding 1986). This sonic melting pot of styles and inspiration is what helps craft Rockchild's powerful sound.
Their hard rocking song, "Winded (Demo Version)," is the featured song on the MotorM4X Off-Road Extreme video game and the band recently completed their first full length album, LIVING ON FIRE, scheduled to be released April 3rd 2012.
Look for their hit, "Against A Man," to appear in the highly anticipated BMX feature film, "Heroes Of Dirt," as well as a video release corresponding with the movie's premiere.
