Memories

Written By: Ron Greene

Looking at old pictures, thinking ‘bout old times
laughing at Jason’s hair do. You’re running through my mind
Driving that ol brown mercury, sneaking through your back yard.
Feelin your ev’ry heartbeat, I was crushing hard

Oh those were simple times,
we lived our lives
with our hearts open wide
Oh how I miss those days,
that time, that place.
Those memories

Playing ball in the church lot, we were the whiffle ball kings.
Jana’s face as we told her, we knew everything.
That band we started, surely make it big.
everyday we practiced, never played a gig.

Oh those were simple times,
we lived our lives
with our hearts open wide
Oh how I miss those days,
that time, that place.
Those memories

I could never lose you,
you’re forever on my mind.
the days goes on,
and years pass by,
yet you’re with me,
through all time

Oh those were simple times,
we lived our lives
with our hearts open wide
Oh how I miss those days,
that time, that place, never forget
Oh those were simple times,
we lived our lives
with our hearts open wide
Oh how I miss those days,
that time, that place,
never forget
memories

Live & Learn

We had it all worked out, thought it would never end.
These were the best of times. We were the best of friends.
We’d both get married. Live on the same street.
Kids would play ball together. Life would be so neat.
Time went by, our lives changed,
Nothing ever stays the same. Days go by, life re-arranged.
In my heart of hearts, I feel the pain.
I don’t know why life’s this way. Live & Learn, learn to change.

I had it wall worked out, knew it would never end.
You know I loved that girl, maybe that was my sin.
We’d have that picket fence, maybe a kid or two.
We’d live that dream, sometimes dream don’t come true.
Time went by, our lives changed,
The best made plans can go astray.
Days gone by, life re-arranged, In my heart I feel the pain.
I don’t know why life’s this way. Live & Learn, learn to change.

Changing my heart, changing my ways
A brand new start, a better place.

Had it all worked out. I had the perfect plan
I’d live the perfect life, I’d be the perfect man.
I’d have the greatest kids, live on the safest streets
Maybe a dog or two, my life would be complete.
Time went by, my life changed, best made plans go astray.
Days go by, life re-arranged. In this heart I feel the pain.
I don’t know why life’s this way. Live & learn, learn to change
I don’t know why life’s this way. Live & learn, learn to change.

Tell Me

I saw you walking down the street,
Alone on a cold wither day.
Tell me what to say, to make you turn & look my way.
Are you just a dream? A mirage?
From where did you appear?
Tell me what to do. I need to know how to make you near.

Tell me. Can I, get your number and your name?

Tell me lil girl, am I the kind of guy that meets your eye.
Do I have the look, the style? Wanna give me a try?
Tell me baby please, please.. let me see that smile.
What do I have to do, to make you stay and talk for a while?

Tell me, am I, the kind of guy who’ll win your heart?
Tell me, baby, don’t let this stop before starts.
Tell me, tell me, what signal do I have to send?
Tell me, honey, can I be more than just a friend?
Tell me…

Tell me. Can I get your number and your name?
Tell me. Lady. Let’s be real this ain’t no game.
Tell me, tell me, baby, please.
Tell me, tell me.

When I Look

When I look into, your eyes
I see your heart. I see the miles.
Long road. Hard times. Jilted love. Yet I find in you,
The resolve, to carry on, to survive.
This is what I see,
When I look into your eyes.

When I look into, your eyes
I see the start. I see the times.
You gave you heart. You gave your all.
You gave your love,
But how would you know? It wouldn’t last.
All the tears.
Don’t live in the past.
This is what I see.
When I look into your eyes.

Gone are the lonely days when he was near.
No more empty dreams and no more fears.
Open up your arms and feel loves embrace.
All you’ve been looking for is here in this place.

When I look into your eyes.

Christmas Time

Written By: Ron Greene

Snow is falling, the leaves are gone
Winter is calling, there's no bird song.
Snowman building all the day long.
Hats, scarves, & gloves.
Icicles and snow ball fights
Cut down the tree and pull out the lights
Decorating all through the night.
Tinsel, bulbs & bows.

Oh the joy, the season brings
When we realize the true meaning
of Christmas time.

Mary & Joseph are in the stall
No room in the inn, no none at all.
A Saviour is born to free us all.
The greatest gift to give.

Oh the joy, the season brings
When we realize the true meaning
of Christmas time.
