Camp Barefoot 6 Music & Art Festival is set to take place Thursday, August 23 – Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Bartow, WV. An evening of Reggae featuring local band Elation and returning band Treehouse who played at the Tribute to Sublime Reggae Festival last June. Savi Fernandez band headlines this showcase. The Orlando, Florida trio marries together Reggae and Funk with a gentle hint of Ska. It’s relatively laid back music with a hip jostling groove to it.

Details: 8 p.m. doors, 9 p.m. show, Sunday, All Ages, 255 N. Front St., Downtown Wilmington, $5 (+$3 under 21) - SB

"Savi Fernandez Band Live @ the Social. 12.17.2011"

Saturday, December 17, 2011 marked the final Orlando based show of the year for the Savi Fernandez Band which occurred at The Social. With a past show at The Social in June that had a great turnout and a recent tour of the Virgin Islands under the belt, the Savi Fernandez Band is no stranger to crowds and performing onstage. This show turned it up a notch with several guest musicians that helped add to their island sound.

Finally taking the stage at a late hour, just late enough to build suspense, the Savi Fernandez Band came out to put on a high-energy filled show. The usual suspects were onstage, Savi Fernandez on guitar, Joey Lanna on drums and Chris McMullen on bass. Some outstanding musicians from Orlando joined the stage, including Dave Mann of funkUs, Christan Ryan, Clay Watson of the Legendary JCs and Terry Slingbaum on electric mandolin. With a stellar lineup like this the show could be nothing but awesome.

The show brought a clear message which was certainly appropriate with the New Year two weeks away. A message of positivity, truth, power and opportunity was delivered to the audience who received it openly while dancing enthusiastically. Finally closing the show with “We Got The Power”, the crowd joined in with the chorus chanting “we got the power, we’re gonna make it” and make it, they did. - Jennifer Shaffner

"Sixth Annual Jambando at Plaza Theatre"

"Savi Fernandez Band took the stage in Fireman’s Hall at 11:50 after Railroad Earth’s conclusion. The three piece band had a good crowd who were dancing and grooving. Their reggae/funk music was a change from the sounds of Railroad Earth"

"The Savi Fernandez Band is quickly becoming one of Orlando's most well known jam bands with their mix of reggae, funk and blues music. The band has spent the last years spreading their music all over the sunshine state hoping to create a new musical experience at each live show. Songs like "Stop the War" and "Revolution" ooze with reggae and soul music as well as their musical influences Sublime and Jimi Hendrix. "Savi Fernandez Band @ Aura Music Festival"

"Sunday afternoon showcased an abundance of positive, uplifting music to get you in check and at peace with the beautiful surroundings. The Savi Fernandez Band had a light touch of reggae wrapped in constructive lyrics, and it wasn’t too long before Roosevelt from The Lee Boys jumped on stage and sat in with his new custom pedal steel guitar." - Natasha Gaye
