Bio

Sleeper Agent is the joining of musicians from various genres and "ex" bands.

"They don't just play, they perform... the vocal and physical interaction between lead singer Justin Wilson and guitarist Tony Smith is awesome. They trade vocal outbursts, lean on each other, and almost fall on eachother in constantly changing directions and formations... a tornado came to mind."

Pennman, The Amplifier

"Wilson crawls on the floor as the band wraps up their short but powerful set. He twists into an almost fetal position and drones into the microphone from the floor, his voice simultaneously monotone and excitable. The rest of the band holds it together and moves through to what are becoming fan favorites like “Red Handed” and “Cut of My Jib” with experienced tightness."

Chad Meadows, Rise Over Run Magazine

"Watching Sleeper Agent, you believed in their rockstardom. Lead singer Justin Wilson used the skate ramps like an obstacle course, jumping up and down, cracking jokes to his band members mid-song, and involving the crowd as much as possible."

-Audrey Flagg, Rise Over Run Magazine

"Raw energy couldn’t even begin to explain the stage presence of these guys. Justin and Tony had dueling vocals and demanded every ear in the room. A stage presence so intense it’s as if they had been playing together for years. While amazing lead guitars provided by Thomas and bass and drums brought to you by the Michaels (Dean and O’Brien, that is) creating a sound unlike anything I’ve heard in quite awhile."

-Laura Haggard, Sadie's Shots

It all started when Bossa Nosferatu played their final show at Bowling Green's Tidballs. Tony Smith and Justin Wilson were guzzling down their usual penny beers as Mike and Mikey pummeled out some of the final riffs of Bossa Nosferatu. After the show, Tony approached Mike and Mikey about starting another band. They thought it was a great idea, but Mikey had to get married first and Mike had to go Krogering. Weeks prior to the band's first rehearsal, Tony flipped shit and considered moving to Portland, Oregon. Tony sold his guitar and packed up his Corolla. Unfortunately, Tony only made about $400 off his guitar and Battlestar Galactica collection. Due to high gas prices, Tony could not make it to Portland. When Tony showed up for practice a couple of days later he noticed Thomas was there and they growled at each other... pretty much, shit happened, they made music and later on asked Justin to howl for them. After two months of piecing ideas together, Sleeper Agent played their first show on August 28th 2008 at the same venue where the idea came about, Tidballs. Funny how shit comes full circle.
