While pop idols battle it out on television sets, independant artist Snez was singing her heart out at the final of the Acoustic & roots competition held at the Gearin hotel, Katoomba in April.
There was a huge turnout with the support of the local community and thriving musicians network cheering on.
According to judges, the winner - SNEZ (with Stewart Peters on guitar/backing vocals) displayed "a real passion for what they were playing, excellent musicianship and vocals....The classic sounds of motown are obvious in her music".
After winning the hearts of the judges with her original songs in the competition, Snez will be performing a three-hour concert on June 30 at the Gearin Hotel.
Performing predominantly original songs, Snez said: "I am excited and I'm really looking forward to inviting people into my life through my songs, it should be a great night".
Snez will be playing alongside her guitarist/co-writer Stewart Peters and special guest Lindsay Tebbutt on percussion.
