Biography

Social Butterfly is a Canadian based indie musical journey. The Social Butterfly metamorphosis began in 2011 with raw acoustic and vocals - since then the diverse mix of melodies has transformed as a result of their eclectic persuasions and explorations - adding some beats and now performing and recording as a band that could be compartmentalized as psychedelic alternative folk rock.

Follow Me

Follow me

Your profile
Says that you
Like taking long walk
Have a dog and read poetry
And mine, mine says that too
So I get a little message
Telling me
That I am now

Watching you
Watching me
Feeling something
Could it be that I want you
Watching me
Watching you
Follow me

I can me
And I can see you
So I smile
I really don’t know what to do
Oh you smiled too
And I see a little twinkle in your eye
Telling me that you are happy
That I am now

Watching me
Watching you
Feeling something
Could it be that I want you
Watching me
Watching you
Follow me

Follow me
Follow me

Just one click
And there’s a notification
You’re not the only one
With the same interests as me
How do I choose
Or do I even really want to
Cause I think its kinda neat
Knowing you are all

Watching me
Watching you
Feeling something
Could it be that I want you
Watching me
Watching you
Follow me

Watching you
Watching me
Follow me
Watching me
Watching you
Follow me

Follow me

Wander

Written By: Brian Lake, Anwareen Farouk

Wander

Alone he has traveled
Journeyed afar, to the greatest land
Where beauty's abound, found in nature
among the flowers and the trees
His wonder has led him,
Away from dismay, for he has seen
wonderful visions, hidden before
under the haze of society

And there he will stay
Alone he will ponder
the things from his past he cannot alter
entered a special place
he will now see
that life is much more
than it seemed to be
in a special place
he will not wander
away from his disgrace

His travels have led him
straight to my home, and on his way
he crossed the boundaries he had not known
even the beggars and the slaves
All of this time, it took too long
he could not wait
to come around, and come down
under the gaze of sobriety

And there he will stay
Alone he will ponder
the things from his past he cannot alter
entered a special place
he will now see
that life is much more
than it seemed to be
in a special place
he will not wander
away from his disgrace

no more wait
ahhhh ahhhh ahhhh
ahhhh ahhhh ahhhh
oooh ooh oooh oooooh oooh oooh oooh ooh oooh

And there he will stay
Alone he will ponder
the things from his past he cannot alter
entered a special place
he will now see
that life is much more
than it seemed to be
in a special place
he will not wander
away from his disgrace
