In spring of 2009, STAR released a music video for its first single, Star Shine, which drew positive comments from viewers in Canada, Italy, the UK, Belarus, Russia, Germany, and across the USA. Star Shine has been selected for an upcoming compilation CD, "Differentiate", featuring US and European artists, due to be released globally in late 2009.

Like an unexpected flash of lightning illuminating the dark Colorado night sky, Spontaneous Thin Air Radio began broadcasting its brand of Soulfully Energized Funk Rock mid-winter 2008.
After only a short time in the public eye, STAR has already been receiving attention on the Front Range music scene: STAR performed on Channel 54's "Tuesday Blues" program without prior audition, solely because of the reputation of the band lineup. STAR was also invited to be the featured band at the debut evening of a new local original music showcase.
