Biography

Static Sun started out in Elk Grove Village, Illinois after song writer Jeremy Meyers and Singer Sam Boes teamed up with guitarist Josh McGraw and drummer Luis Sanchez. The four were brought together by their love of Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, The Dirty Heads and the funk of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The true difference between Static Sun and other bands lays in their soulful love of music and being able to take what they feel and directly spin it into their music. With just 2 guitars, a bass and a drum set, they rock the stage with true originals and spot on Sublime covers. True feel good music.

*We've also been mentioned on The Drive, Chicago's classic rock station 97.1fm, for our performance at the Elbo Room, as they dig our sound and style.*

*Opened for Lucky Boys Confusion @Durty Nellie's (Maximum capacity of 1500+ reached, event sponsored by Budweiser)*

2014: We're getting our calender ready and rocked out as the opener for KC's Cabin's Summer opener!
