We were selected by the Supercuts corporation in a talent contest. We won a profile on their site and they'll be promoting us all over their social media pages and playing us in their salon locations:

Jeremy, who is a long time listener of the Drive, keeps in contact with the Radio Station via facebook. He communicates frequently with the DJ's and has attended many of the Drive's events. He once showed the Drive some of the music Static Sun has produced, and needless to say, they dug the sound the band has been producing.
So when the Drive found out that Static Sun was going to be a part of the Elbo Room Battle of the bands Round 2, well, the Drive gave a shout out to Static Sun around 5pm. They wished Static Sun good luck and encouraged listeners to go see the show if they were near the location and wanted to hear some good music. Indeed, a group of listeners did show! - The Drive, 97.1

Bio
Static Sun started out in Elk Grove Village, Illinois after song writer Jeremy Meyers and Singer Sam Boes teamed up with guitarist Josh McGraw and drummer Luis Sanchez. The four were brought together by their love of Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, The Dirty Heads and the funk of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Since then, Luis Sanchez has been replaced with our new drummer, Ricky. Going strong and set to release a new EP soon, Static Sun is on the move.
