"LOCAL SONGWRITER RECOGNIZED BY INTERNATIONAL CONTEST"

San Antonio resident, Tina “T. C.” Rockett recently received the honor of being named as a Finalist by the Song of the Year ("http://www.songoftheyear.com/") songwriting contest. Song of the Year is an international songwriting contest supporting VH-1’s Save the Music Foundation. The Song of the Year judges are some of the biggest names in music including many Grammy Award winners.

Song of the Year is excited to recognize T. C. for her exceptional songwriting ability for the song, Just Turn Back Time. T. C. competed against songwriters from all over the world for this honor. When asked what inspired the song T. C. commented that she wrote this song “in response to the life-altering loss of her Father 2 years ago.”

Currently T. C. is concentrating on completing her first CD of original songs while “hoping to be offered a publishing deal and possibly a staff writing opportunity in the future. The positive feedback I have received from Song of the Year has really been encouraging. I would love to hear my songs interpreted by some great talent like Reba or Kathy Mattea or one of the other awesome recording artists out there today.”

Find out more information about T. C. by logging on to her website at “www.sonicbids.com/TCRockett".
