Biography

Winner of the National Parenting Publications GOLD Award for Children's Audio!!

The Boogers are the brainchild of musician Paul Crowe (aka Crusty Booger). Paul spent the late 80's-90's playing, writing and touring the U.S. as a bassist with a number of Chicago-based punk bands. Somehow, across 6 albums and hundreds of shows, Paul completed a Ph.D in Developmental Psychology at Loyola University, found the love of his life and became the proud father of three sons.

What came next was a natural evolution -- he married his passion for classic punk to his knowledge of child and language development through music to create hyped-up music inspired by the stripped-down sound of the Ramones. Children's music that brings the chord-driven rock!

I Don't Need to be Worried

Written By: Paul Crowe

Growing up can be pretty hard,
I don’t need to be worried
I just wanna play out in my backyard,
I don’t need to be worried
Somethings are tough to do by myself,
I don’t need to be worried
But if I need it I can get some help,
I don’t need to be worried

Because I know I’ll be okay
I’m getting bigger everyday
And I know that if things go wrong
I always got my dad and mom

Some days can be rainy and dark,
I don’t need to be worried
There’s fun in the sun in the summer in the park,
I don’t need to be worried
I wanna chance to do what you did,
not growing up in a hurry
I need some time just to be a kid,
No, I don’t need to be worried

Because I know I’ll be okay
I’m getting bigger everyday
And I know that if things go wrong
I always got my dad and mom

If people are being mean
They’re not acting like my friend
I know I’ve always got my family
A love that never ends

This Song is About Transportation

Written By: Paul Crowe

This song’s about transportation, put yer hands on the wheel, and get ready to drive!

Race car, race car, going 'round the track
Race car, race car, going really fast
Race car, race car, racing down the lane
It's comin' 'round again

Wow, that was fast! Now let’s put our arms out in front and pretend we’re drivin’ a motorcycle!

Motorcycle, motorcycle, rolling down the street
Motorcycle, motorcycle, lookin’ really neat
Motorcycle, motorcycle, only got two wheels
Wear your helmet, avoid the spills

Awright, now put your hands out to the side and pretend you’re an airplane flying around!

Airplane, airplane, way up in the sky
Airplane, airplane, flying really high
Airplane, airplane, when you gonna land
And bring us the Booger band?

Now let’s do a school bus…open up the door, (close the door), put your hands on the wheel, and let’s go!

School bus, school bus, takin’ kids to school
School bus, school bus, there’s one important rule
School bus, school bus, standees aren’t allowed
So make yer parents proud

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

Written By: Traditional, PD; Add'l lyrics by P. Crowe (BMI)

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Up came the sun and it dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again

You know she had no doubt
She'd go back up the spout!

The itsy bitsy spider
Had the strength inside her
She wouldn't let the rain
Bring her down again

The itsy bitsy spider went up the little crack
Down came the rain and washed the spider back
Up came the sun and it dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider went up the crack again

You know she come back
To go back up the crack!

The itsy bitsy spider
Had the strength inside her
She wouldn't let the rain
Bring her down again

Determination
Perserverance
Self-reliance brings self-assurance
Whenever you fall down
Pick yourself up from the ground

The itsy bitsy spider
An itsy bitsy song
The itsy bitsy spider
Has got it going on

The itsy bitsy teenie weenie
Little spider's name was Jeanie
She's always having fun
She's grateful for the sun
