Bio

The Brand (New York, NY) is an energetic power-pop/electronic foursome consisting of Omar Garcia (Guitar/Vocals,) Leo Valencia Bass/Vocals,) Juan Ona(Keyboard/Samples) and David Jamison(Drums). Formed in early 2003 in Miami, FL, the band has gained regional success appearing in a Burdines/Macy's commercial, getting video airplay on MUN2 for their self-produced video "Xmas Day," and touring extensively in the States and abroad. Their first EP released in February 2003 was named one of the ten best independent releases of 2003 by Street Miami, and the subsequent album, Grenadine was well received both in Florida and elsewhere as "an inspired mix of pop-punk and indie-rock."(Miami New Times) Influenced by the music of The Cure, The Wannadies, and The Beatles, The Brand is in the early stages of writing their third release and plans to tour this Fall.
