Bio

The Done Me Wrongs are not your typical band. As performers they have tread the boards in many of Canada’s finest theatres and shared musical stages with everyone from Ron Sexsmith and Chantal Kreviazuk to Ella Fitzgerald and Tony Bennett.

When you take two award-winning stage actors, a classically-trained violinist, and a prolific session jazz guitarist who has been on the road since he was 15, stir them up with a shot of fine bourbon – what you get is The Done Me Wrongs.

Their music is eclectic in the best sense of the word, drawing on all of the members’ diverse backgrounds to come up with their own unique sound. They call it alternative country folk.

Since releasing Done Me Live in 2007 – a live album recorded at the Shaw Festival, where the band formed – the group has been played several times on national radio, opened for the indie pop sensation Stars, and performs regular gigs at Toronto clubs like The Dakota Tavern, The Cameron House and The Gladstone Hotel. They have developed a solid following and continue to win over audiences with their musical creativity and flair for the stage.

In November 2009 The Done Me Wrongs are releasing their first studio album You Me and the Whiskey, featuring 13 original tunes written by all four members.

The band is well summed up in this audience member’s comment after one of their shows:
“I’ve been wronged – in all the right places."
