"azcentral.com: Special for The Arizona Republic"

"If you have two minutes to check out the band...listen to this: Check out "One and Only" to hear them in their raw, power live setting and to hear Lady Van Buren channeling Glenn Danzig's feminine side. But leave room/time for "Whips and Chains," which takes them into new ethereal territory, sounding menacing and pretty at the same time, almost like Molotov Cocteau Twins." - Serene Dominic

"Rank and Revue: Meet The Green Lady Killers...Tretchikoff and Loaded Guns"

“Ask any man and he'll tell you that there's not many things as attractive as a confident woman. So when not one, but three beauties that have it in spades took the stage at Dirty Dog for the fourth slot on the Rusty Knuckles showcase the Saturday of SXSW '11, testosterone levels started skyrocketing and the enchantment that the GREEN LADY KILLERS invoke was in full effect. The ladies brought their cool blend of attitude-fueled rock and electric sexuality…this chick band can absolutely hold their own with the rowdy gang of fringe flying artists that are defining the Rusty Knuckles label…they're young, loaded with talent and from the looks of things, nowhere to go but up.” - Tammy Moore

"Indie Buzz Magazine: The Green Lady Killers - Danger and Deliciousness"

“The Green Lady Killers come on like the stars of a high-def camcorder update of “Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!”…Singer/guitarist Lady Van Buren is a hellacious frontwoman, with fire-breathing, no-nonsense vocals and more than a touch of menace behind that dark eye shadow, combined with some gut-punching garage rock riffage. Bassist/vocalist Annie Venom ably sports an “I Love Zombies” sticker on her axe that suggests she’d probably bring an Uzi to a knife fight; and drummer Cherrybomb manages a propulsive backbeat while wearing stilettos leopard skin heels, no mean trick….(their song) “Dance Floor” combines GLK’s signature sounds with catchy pop elements in a dialed-down fashion that demonstrates the ability to avoid pigeonholing (okay, maybe more like raven-holing in their case).” - dredscott

"azcentral.com: Special for The Arizona Republic"

"Their experimentation with dual-sex membership carried them right up through that fine EP but ended there, and girl power seems to have filled in the blanks quite nicely." - Serene Dominic

"anti-snob.com: Review Of The Week"

"If you can imagine a world where Joan Jett and Lita Ford kept The Runaways alive through the 80s and 90s, then you will understand why I've been caught saying "...with rock as this good as GLK, the world doesn't need The Donnas" over the last year. Songs like "My 45", "Linger On", and "Dance Floor" are primed to be rock radio hits. Close your eyes and listen to the high energy cut "Time Bomb" and you'll wonder how long it will take for a music supervisor to license this for the next blockbuster movie or MTV-reality series soundtrack… Loaded with psychobilly riffs, punk rage, and pop-metal sensibilities, GLK take their songs to places most so-called "bad girl" bands wouldn't dare." - Will Tynor

"Tucson Weekly: Music - Rhythm & Views"

“This Phoenix trio play steamrolling garage-punk on their first full-length album, spiking the recipe with moderate helpings of girl-group vocals and roaring metal…more Joan Jett than The Donnas, the Green Lady Killers aren't afraid to show their soft side, either. "Linger On" features restrained pop melodies, but is no less exhilarating than the grimy garage rock of "Dance Floor" or the balls-to-the-wall AC/DC riffage of "Power" and "Ride." - Gene Armstrong

"Get Out Magazine"

“Tunes such as the punchy, power-chord “Psycho Ellen” (which would make such bands as The Stooges and the New York Dolls proud) and the melodic, hook-heavy “Whips and Chains” should gain the band serious airplay...”

- Chris Hansen Orf

"College Times"

“The Green Lady Killers have crafted an impressive, no-frills debut… [that] delivers a six-pack of gritty yet catchy garage punk anthems.” - Mike Meyer

"Flagstaff Live"

“A healthy dose of hard, fast American rock 'n' roll…The Green Lady Killers debut is full of both tongue-in-cheek slyness and hard, loud American rock...these are songs to thrash to until you sweat, to blast from car stereos at midnight, to turn up to stratospheric decibel levels.” - Megan Reid

"Java Magazine: Featured Band March 2010"

"The lineup of Lady Van Buren, Annie Venom and Cherrybomb is the most dangerous, revved-up power trio of rock 'n' roll girls ever to grace the Arizona scene and perhaps the entire country." - Mitchell L. Hillman

Bio

The Green Lady Killers are one-part sultry, one-part menacing and all-parts rock 'n' roll. Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, this all-female rock trio evokes elements of The Cramps, delivers the heaviness of Wolfmother and struts with the bad girl attitude of The Runaways. The Green Lady Killers are Lady Van Buren (vocals/guitar), Cherrybomb (drums) and Ivy Rose (bass/vocals). Known for their versatile sound and dynamic stage shows, The Green Lady Killers captivate audiences with sludgy garage rock, melodic hooks and fierce vocals. They stir, shake and serve up a loud, high energy sonic assault.

The Green Lady Killers debut full-length album, Just Fine, was released in the U.S. and Europe in January 2011 on Rusty Knuckles Music (Nail Distribution). Just Fine was recorded at StudioCat Productions with engineer and producer, Jamison Weddle (Dave Grohl, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soulfly).

The Green Lady Killers (GLK) have shared the stage with Nekromantix (Hellcat Records), punk rock legends, The Dwarves, Boots Electric (Dangerbird Records), Detroit Cobras (Bloodshot Records), legendary garage rocker Sky Saxon of The Seeds (Global Universe), Dex Romweber Duo (Third Man Records) and more. Notable GLK performances include SXSW, Warped Tour, Ink-N-Iron Tattoo Festival, Texas Rockfest, Hell City Tattoo Festival, Neon Reverb Music Festival and Rumble in Ramona.

The Green Lady Killers new full-length album, Nightshade, will be released in late summer 2013 - get ready to ROCK!!
