Press Release:

'James Fairs Returns To Midwest Stage For Another Historic Concert'

Tech CEO, Producer, Songwriter, and Cryan’ Shames Co-Founder James Fairs will reunite the original Cryan’ Shames Founders again for another historic concert at the Bolingbrook Center for the Performing Arts on July 28th, 2010.

Mr. Fairs, currently CEO of IMI Innovations, Inc., will appear with his touring band, the ‘Jamez Band’ for the occasion. The band will perform new original works by James and updated versions of Cryan’ Shames’ hits, including ‘Sugar and Spice’, ‘It Could Be We’re In Love’, and others. Returning band members include Tom Doody (Toad), Jim Pilster (J. C. Hooke), Lenny Kerley, Gerry Stone (Stonehenge), and Dennis Conroy.

The production will include full lights and sound, multimedia screens, a horn section led by Steve Eisen, a background vocal group led by Gospel great Roberta Thomas, Blue Man Group drummer Dan Leali, and bassist Gregg Voorhees of the Gregg Allman Band.

Says James. “They say that if it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing, and I hope to offer old and new fans alike a night to remember.”

Bio

I co-founded the Chicago Band 'The Cryan' Shames' in the 60s, and wrote and produced their hits. I've recorded in studios all over the world, toured with and produced Gregg Allman, written film scores and screen plays, studied classical guitar...and finally invented some technology and formed a high-tech start-up.

All of this is brought to bear in concert, and I have the privilege of playing with and directing an incredible band; it has to be seen and heard to be believed.
