"4.5 out of 5 stars for new album "Quartet Loser""

"...The band, singer/guitarist Paul Downs, bassist Mariah Hasegawa and drummer Brandon Harrod, play it raw. But they have the chops to really pull it off well though. Something you can't say about a lot of bands who try cashing in on the "less-is-more" style of music." - Critical Mass blog

The Larroquettes

(myspace.com/the larroquettes) Trashy absurdity that will fuck you up yet give you a chuckle. Or chuckle you up yet give you a fuck. It really works both ways. If you like guitars and drums and bass and beer and passing out and fighting and fun than you need to Larro-get this. BTW, on The John Larroquette Show sitcom there was an entire episode with a running gag about Roky Erickson coming through the bus station. How did that get on TV?

"THE GOBLINS & THE HAMBURGLARS @ The Empty Bottle On Boxing Day! (Dec. 26th)"

....Also performing are the Larroquettes, one of the best trashy garage bands in town! - Chicago Stage Review

"Time Out Chicago - 01/30/11 Beat Kitchen feature"

The Larroquettes recall such confrontational forerunners as the Stooges and Jon Spencer, but if the band inevitably falls short, it's not for lack of trying. Or distortion. Pink Torpedo plays garage-punk at its most basic and pared down, though we admire the group's economy, with the classic punk styled Heavy Bombers up first. - Time Out Chicago

"The Vortis Diaries: Six hours at Ronny's on Saturday night"

..this night started with a Chicago quartet called the Larroquettes, named, no doubt, for that great thespian from "Night Court."? Ably anchored by a solid bassist named Mariah (just Mariah), the group churned out nasty, dirty, blues-based garage-rock crunch -- ?the members cite the Mummies and the Cramps among their heroes -- ?and a fine start to the night it was, especially when the set ended with trashed drums and an onstage wrestling match. - WBEZ.org - Jim DeRogatis blog
