Bio

The Repercussionists are a four-piece rock and roll outfit from Halifax, Nova Scotia. In the past two years they have released an EP, "Mistakes and All", and debuted their first full-length album, the self-titled, "The Repercussionists". 2009 saw a new incarnation of the band when percussionist Ian Macmillan and guitarist Christopher John joined founding members vocalist/lyricist Isaac Stowe and bassist Stephen Terry. Ian's reputation as a nationally renowned drummer and percussionist (having written and performed with such diverse acts as DRUM! and Squid) solidifies The Repercussionists rhythm section, complimenting Stephen's heavy, slithering bass grooves. Christopher's approach to lead guitar adds melodic and ghostly depth to an already powerful band. The group's new energy is in perfect harmony with Isaac's introspective approach to songwriting. His lyrics include deeply personal exploration and rich storytelling while fusing roots and folk rock sensibilities with the band's modern feel. The Repercussionists are currently touring in support of their new album, "Thank You, Goodnight" which promises to continue their upward trajectory as they emerge to become one of Canada's most anticipated bands. Original, engaging, and with an energetic live show, The Repercussionists always entertain.
