"...Terrible... Yet..."

Absolutely Terrible yet I can't stop watching them. Rock n Roll explodes out of Elliott's mouth and guitar and somehow he holds it together to produce some melodic tunes within his - as their web site calls it " bacchanalia". Greek Pastries have never tasted better. - - Rich Hillen Jr, Crawlspace Records

"... Best Bar Bands Since AC/DC"

"Probably one of the best bar bands since AC/DC. An incredible live show that's more like a party than a performance." - Happy Jack, Owner Happy Jack's Tavern

"Spark Featured Band"

Band: The Terribles

Genre: Rock/Punk/Blues

Hometown: Woodbyn, PA; Wilmington, DE

Members:
Elliott HD, Guitar and Vocal
G. Rollo, Drums and Vocals
J. Owens, Bass and Vocals

Behind The Name: Well, It's kind of an Oxymoron. We're called The Terribles,
but as fate would have it, we're actually pretty good at what we do.

MySpace: www.myspace.com/theterribles

How They Formed: The Terribles originally began as an acoustic solo endeavor
by Elliott HD in 2005.For those three years The Terribles, (Shortened from
Elliott HD and The Terribles shortly after the band came together), have
come a very long way. With an album under their belt, they have played the
Emergenza Music Festival, The Bodog Battle of The Bands, The Warped Tour and
in almost every major club in Philadelphia. They have built a very loyal fan
base that keeps on growing.

What's Next: We're currently working on re-recording some of the tracks off
the 2007 release, Banned From Life. This time we'll be working with Producer
Joe Moscarielo of JAM Studio in National Park NJ to reflect a more evolved
sound inspired by the bands current line-up. Right after that we'll be going
right into recording our second release slated for late 2008.

Anything we can hear on the MySpace page?: There is currently 6 songs up,
some of which are live and not on the Banned From Life album. Expect your
booty to want to shake.

What to expect at a show: We're a live band. We thrive on the vibe of
playing on stage and have a lot of interaction with the crowd. Also expect a
lot of references to drinking, rock & roll, broken hearts and... well, sex.
Hey, we're a party band, what else would you expect!

What they drink on stage: Well, beer of course... and lots of it. This is
not an Apple Martini type band, save the girlie-drinks for the cover bands.

"...It's not a show, it's a party."

"Um...What can I say? It's not a show, it's a party. If you are going out with the express purpose of getting drunk and having a good night, find a Terribles show! Philadelphia's premier drinking band!" - Scott Haven, Intermix Music Magazine

Bio

The Terribles originally began as an acoustic solo endeavor by Elliott HD. After three years in the making, Elliott released his first full-length studio LP "The Worst That Could Happen".

With a successful solo album and supporting tour behind him, Elliott teamed up with Tom and original drummer Bon Scott Soma, to get a fuller sound. This was actually an absolute accident. The night Bon joined The Terribles; he was receiving a massage from Elliott's brother. In a drunken stupor, Ell cornered Bon in the middle of his massage and asked him to play drums for a new band. Bon was pretty excited about it at the time and, unbeknownst to them, The Terribles were born.

It was about a week after that, that Tommy joined the band. Elliott ran into him at the local bar while he was drinking with then bass player of The Richless, Jeff O'Donnell. The initial intention was for Jeff to play bass for "Elliott HD's Terribles", but he wasn't interested. Tom happened to overhear the conversation and decided to volunteer his time until Elliott found a permanent bass player. Tom has played Bass for The Terribles ever since.

For those three years The Terribles, (Shortened from Elliott HD and The Terribles shortly after the band came together), have come a very long way. With an album under their belt, they have played the Emergenza Music Festival, The Bodog Battle of The Bands, The Warped Tour and in almost every major club in Philadelphia. They have built a very loyal fan base that keeps on growing. The last three years have been astounding for this little punk rock band from Philly.

2008 sees inspiring changes in the line-up. After the departure of Bon on Drums in late 2007, (He decided to take a break from the music scene and left on great terms with the band) they found Glen Rollo. Rollo is a exciting and talented drummer and a veteran of the Delaware music scene and has taken a very active roll in defining a new direction for The Terribles. His insight into the music industry, professional musicianship, and enthusiasm for the project has been contagious.

Finally, we see the addition of Joe Owens (Viktim, The Trouble With Athena) on Bass and the moving of Tommy to guitar for select shows. These additions and moves have allowed The Terribles to achieve a more layered, sophisticated sound (I know, The Terribles... Sophisticated. Sounds like a oxymoron). But don’t fear, we’re still the same drunken, high energy party we’ve always been.

We have just released our new EP, “Banned From Life” Again! and are currently recording our Sophomore LP.
