Down-home and soulful in their delivery, Tuesday Saints are an Americana version of the power trio, featuring acoustic guitar, fiddle and upright bass to go along with a fantastic male-female vocal dynamic. It’s pretty much the perfect Autumn in New England on a Sunday morning music. - Lonesome Noise
Jeff Burnham of Tuesday Saints is one of the best song writers around. His first-person songs are wry and self-effacing and third-person ones are spare narratives that trust the listener to fill in the blanks. Here is a new such song that I already posted, but it deserves featuring.

Tuesday Saints – Hard Luck Town
The collaboration between Connecticut multi-instrumentalists Jeff Burnham and Nanette Addesso, Tuesday Saints has spent the last year or so refining their sound. The full band they once carried was substituted out with some exceptional session players and what they emerged from the studio with was their most complete release to date. Four of the best songs this veteran act has written, this EP is a perfect compliment to an album collection that includes acts like Son Volt and Wilco.

Bio
Tuesday Saints spent years performing as a duo while arranging and collaborating on original material. “Down-home and soulful in their delivery,” singer-songwriters Jeff Burnham and Nanette Addesso, who also plays fiddle, have developed a “fantastic male-female vocal dynamic.” The songs are hook driven with strong roots in folk music. The Saints made a record called “Hard Luck Town,” which Chip McCabe describes as “A perfect compliment to an album collection that includes acts like Son Volt and Wilco.” The band has grown over time with the addition of bassist Dennis Cartier and drummer/vocalist Seth Adam. This Americana rock band also draws comparisons to Lucinda Williams, Ryan Adams, and the Jayhawks. They’ve performed at a variety of venues as diverse as Cafe Nine in New Haven, The Outer Space Ballroom in Hamden, the Stomping Ground in Putnam, the Acoustic Stage at Podunk Bluegrass, and CT Farm and Folk. Watch out for a new Tuesday Saints record in 2018.
