"Twicebroken's Air Play"

We featured Twicebroken's song "It's Only Pain" on our New Music Spotlight segment back in February on 92.9 NIN in Wichita Falls, Texas. (We play the song and ask our station VIP members to log onto the website to vote on the song and tell us what they think about it.) We gained 47 new VIP members that day and I have no doubt it was because of the song. We only added new VIPs in double digit numbers 4 separate days in the month of February and 13 (new VIPs) was the second biggest number. We had a total of 248 people (54% were women between the ages of 25-54) vote on the song giving it an overall score of 69.86. To compare, that is the type of scores we get on songs from Nickelback, Kelly Clarkson and Daughtry. We were so impressed by the response that we added the song into regular rotation, giving it about 10-14 spins per week. It's a great song, with at great hook. We are excited about Twicebroken and can't wait to see what they come up with next!

"Twicebroken Rocks into National Semfinals"

Twicebroken has a once-in-a-lifetime shot for fame and glory.

The band was one of 10 chosen to compete in the semifinals of the Hard Rock Café Las Vegas battle of the bands. The group was one of 30 that competed for a spot in the semifinals May 22. Thirty more bands will repeat the drill in July, with 10 of those bands also advancing to the semifinals. Of those 20 semifinalists, five will be chosen to compete in the finals in August at the Hard Rock Café Las Vegas.

“We’re excited, absolutely,” said Aaron Mullin, Twicebroken’s singer and pianist, particularly since the winner of the competition will get to open for a yet unnamed, major act when the Hard Rock Café opens a new venue on New Year’s Eve.

Jessica Lopez, the band’s manager, said the group heard about the competition from the band’s guitarist, Darren Davis, an alumnus of the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. To be considered, she said, the band had to be associated in some way with the Musicians Institute. Also, Mullins said bands had to have previously released a CD or EP before even being considered for the competition. Hundreds of bands applied to compete.

Mullin, along with bandmates Ricci Amador, Nick Knowles, Bryan Crowe and Davis, had a chance to watch some of the bands they went up against and said the competition was stiff.

“I mean, there’s a lot of really talented musicians,” Mullin said, and the bands all brought very different styles of rock. “But our sound was completely different than everyone out there.”

The band performed two songs, both originals, at the May 22 event.

Twicebroken was formed three years ago and has seen success on the local music scene. The guys won the FallsFest Battle of the Bands in 2007 and got to play three songs on the FallsFest main stage. They also performed at the 2008 Fourth of July Freedom Fest celebration at Sheppard Air Force Base, at Hotter’N Hell in 2008 and have made the rounds on the area music scene.

The group just released its debut album. Local fans can find the new album at Hastings. - Times Record News

Bio

Exploding onto the scene in early 2007, Twicebroken has since been burning up the road with non-stop shows and writing furiously for their first full length record. (Slated for a May 2010 release) When asked to describe where they come from musically you will hear five completely different answers, from the five very different members. Collectively however, you will find but one. Powerful music, fueled by high octane guitar riffs, high energy beats, with gripping melodies and lyrics that bring it all together, and a live show that will leave you begging for more.

Real People. Real Life. Real Music.

So strap yourself in, hold on tight, and get ready for one hell of a musical ride.

Always moving forward, never looking back.
Who we are, not who we were.
A Statement. A Reminder.
What once was but shall never be again.
We are...
