VICKI SPIRAL

VICKI SPIRAL

BandAlternativeRock

Music is still art no matter how much it gets raped by the industry. Vicki Spiral is a band that goes out every week and plays shows, loves their crowd and shows them a good time. They care more about how the songs sound rather than who they're going to send them to. Oh, its guitar-driven rock.

Biography

Vicki Spiral is a trio from New York City formed in 2005. The Vicki Spiral sound exists somewhere outside of genre classification: it's punk, pop, garage, thrash and yet, none of those things. It's an alternative to the current "Alternative" rock scene. The music is different yet familiar; quiet, interesting melodies during the verses and loud, memorable choruses are a constant about the music.

Their live shows have a dedicated following in the northeast and their EPs and singles have been well received on the West Coast and Midwest.

UPDATE 12/23/08: Vicki Spiral is halfway through their NY/NJ dates and are currently planning festival dates for the Spring.

PS: Vicki Spiral hates biographies.

Lyrics

Origin

Written By: Mike Haze

There's no place left to go
Left, right or up the middle
Will I find my soul?
Will I solve this riddle"
My minds trapped
In a coffin
Can't fight back
Fight back often

Still can't find a way to take me home
But I'll find a way, all alone
Sit me back, contact, strap me in
Ready to find my origin

So I lost my way
Can't deny my inhibitions
Take me down a peg
So I'm colder when I'm older
And I fall, after all,
I bang my head against the wall

Still can't find a way to take me home
But I'll find a way, all alone
Sit me back, contact, strap me in
Ready to find my origin

And I seen her
In a liquid sky
Another story
Another time..

Multicolored eyes like I never seen before
Should've been a trip, it felt more like a tour
Mysteries in the paper
Lisa D, I will name her
Still can't find a way to take me home
But I'll find a way, all alone
Sit me back, contact, strap me in
Ready to find my origin

Paradox Man

Written By: Mike Haze

Wrapping paper straight jacket for the crooked mind
You know when you stop to think you fall behind
Numbing television for the active mind
Reprogram, reset be one of our kind
I'll prescribe you sanity and it'll make you well
Then you'll be free to buy and love everything I sell

Instead of this show I'll watch hallucinations
Instead of being a patient I'll just lose my patience
I don't need you when I have my alcohol
Mushrooms, acid, demerol, never stop until I fall
Paradox Man, why won'y you forget your dreams?
Go off and dilute your mind, be part of our machine

Paradox Man you'll never understand
Paradox Man you'll never be a man
Paradox Man you go to Japan
You go to Japan
You go to Japan
