"Welcome to the Numb receive's alternate FSOTD in May!"

Great news from the world of digital distribution last week for our band Welcome to the Numb (WTTN).
Here's the news! Amazon.com accepted Welcome to the Numb's track "Flood" as an alternative Free Song of the Day for May. This means that it will be merchandised via a link from the weekly MP3 newsletter, and via Amazon's twitter feed. Additionally, songs accepted as alternates for the Free Song of the Day promotion are considered if a previously accepted nominee drops out. It's a big promotion so we'll keep our eyes peeled on the MP3 homepage!
WTTN will release their first project on May 1st. The album will be available at all major digital download sites.

"I'm not only very impressed with your songs, vocals, melodies and harmonies but also how well recorded and produced it is. It’s not very often a band can boast a compliment of mass proportions like the compliment made to WTTN by renowned Hollywood producer Ron Nevison. Nevison’s credits include The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Oozy Osborne, Bad Company, Barbara Streisand, Jefferson Star ship, Chicago, Styx, Heart, Damn Yankees, Thin Lizzy and more. In 2010 Nevison received a "Star" from The Hollywood F.A.M.E. Awards in honour of his lifetime achievement in music production.

Ron Nevison’s view on Welcome to the Numb gave the band a great confidence to push their creative boundaries on their forthcoming debut album Songs for Sleepwalkers. WTTN’s sound demonstrates their take on dark rock, purposeful and confronting yet highlighted with colourful melodies and abundant harmonies.

Welcome to the Numb was formed in 2007 around the nucleus of writers/producers Jim Nash (drums/vocals) and Dave Jones (guitar/vocals) who write music that at times not only pushes the boundaries with confrontational topics, but also gives a difference musically, from the mainstream.
Since it’s conception, the band has welcomed aboard two more members, Sam McAinch (bass/vocals) and Daniel Romano (guitar/vocals), and now gig frequently around Melbourne.

The Australian rock band’s first written song Forgive reached number 4 and remained top 10 on Australia’s Triple J Unearthed chart for a month. Since then the band went from strength to strength signing a worldwide distribution deal with Granville Records (Canada) in early 2010 and following the signing reached number 22 in the USA on Amazons alternative chart with their song Flood.

In 2011 WTTN garnered attention worldwide with their track In This Memory when it became the soundtrack for the coverage of the Australian Finke Desert Race which aired in Australia on channel 10 ONE HD, reached the playlist of Sirius Satellite Radio in the USA and hit number 1 on Clear Channels iHeart Radio across America.

WTTN received rave reviews and one U.S magazine in particular, Musicplayers, said of their music, “This Australian band has blown away so many stereotypes not only as a band, but also with the amount of enthusiasm and power they pack into their music. Welcome To The Numb not only doesn’t have any visible flaws to their work, but they raise the bar for what “good music” should be measured against. This is a new band to be reckoned with.”

In 2013 major surf company Quiksilver licensed WTTN to promote their brand and WTTN won a $35,000 music video clip, courtesy of MLG & Embassy Entertainment, after a battle of the bands competition called ‘Stage to Screen’, and have shot music videos for Sister, In This Memory, Walls and Die For Me.

Over the last two years Welcome To The Numb secured Australian support shows with major touring acts and Chocolate Starfish and Pseudo Echo garnering the attention of not only music lovers but also their peers.

Currently WTTN are looking forward to producing and recording their latest catalogue of new material.
