From the streets of Chicago by way of Altgeld Garden Projects....GOD has presented us with Ray Thomas. Ray Thomas was introductd to GOD at an early age. A true example of bloodline blessings, Ray's musical roots were cultivated by the influence of his father, who was touring the country with his band during the 70's and 80's. The oldest of three children, Ray eventually strayed away from GOD in an effort to use the ways of the streets to provide for his family. His passion for music still evident, YoungRay partnered up with some friends to start an independent label, Lavish Habits Entertainment.
They quickly gained recognition and started opening up for a couple major artists. Little did he realize at the time that God had greater plans for his life beyond "Lavish Habits".
February 16, 2003 was the day Ray was at the E2 nightclub in Chicago when 21 people died in a horrific tragedy publicized all over the nation. Realizing there was a reason that he wasn't #22, he decided to accept Christ instead of braggin' about his survival like other secular artists. Christ began to set his life in order as he married the mother of his children that same year. E2 Survivor, Ray's first gospel rap project was put in motion that year, making his official declaration to the world that he no longer yielded to the beggarly elements of sin. From state to state, people have been exposed to the testimony and ministry of Ray Thomas and their lives have been changed for the better because of it. Ray Thomas has a strong desire for the work of the ministry and he now realizes the purpose that he was created for......Nothing will stop Ray Thomas from reaching his destiny!
March 2009, Ray Thomas had linked up with Dj Sean Blu and did 2009 YGEA Mix-Tape of the year nomination "Sunday's Best" the re-mix tape that has great recognition. Ray Thomas is independently moving thousands of units.
Be on the lookout as Ray Thomas helps spark this awesome movement through the unction of the Holy Spirit!
