Beduk (translated as ‘big’ from ancient Turkish) is an exceptional multi-talented twenty-first century musical virtuoso. He not only writes, records, and produces all his own music and lyrics, but also performs lead and backing vocals and plays all of the featured instruments on his recordings, creates all his album art and graphic designs himself (he features an x-ray of his own head on the “skull” cover design of his latest album Overload), and finds the time to write a monthly music column for Sound magazine! Beduk’s music is dance music—with a capital “D”!—with an indie twist and lots of rock inspiration that sounds as big and ground shaking as an earthquake and he has a musicality and indie vision that embraces the Electronic Dance Music world. His music is inspired by the sounds, lifestyles and music of the 70's as well as Indie Rock, Electronic Dance, House and Dubstep, and Beduk has synthesized many of these sounds into an amalgam of styles in his own music in an incredibly creative fashion. His Dance Revolution & GO albums were the top #1 selling albums in the Dance Music category at Turkey’s D&R Music Store, and his CDs Dance Revolution, GO and FUL have amassed 2,500,000+ digital track sales worldwide. In the process Beduk has amassed close to a 850K followers on social media: Twitter (600K+); Facebook (153K+); Instagram (34K+); and Google+ (43K+) and his videos have collectively clocked close to five million hits on YouTube.

Beduk has played over a thousand live gigs in his home country Turkey, revolutionizing the nation’s concept of popular music. He’s performed at all the biggest open air festivals as well as clubs, theaters and other live music venues, headlining to 30K audiences and playing sold out shows to 1000-3000 attendees in smaller venues. He’s opened for J-Lo (3 gigs in a row), Katy Perry, Faithless, and Example, among many others, and is constantly touring. Combining his dynamic, charismatic stage presence and vocals, his 5- piece band and funky electro-rock style in his live shows—a rarity on the EDM scene—Beduk has achieved phenominal artistic and commercial success not only with his live shows, but with his audio and video productions as well. Beduk’s humorous, creative and unique music videos combine wise allusions and metaphorical storytelling that are always a treat to see. Continuously interested in the newest developments in technology, he shot his Discobreaker video in HTML5 format; his music video for the track "Ful Animasyon" was shot in RealD 3D, rare for music videos; and he broke the rules of the game again with his ingenuous video for his previous single “Automatik” where he appears as a wedding singer at a traditional ‘90s Turkish wedding. The video makes use of a ‘90s and VHS aesthetic that creates an interesting and effective back-drop for Beduk’s modern style of music. “Automatik” aired exclusively on MTV and stayed on top of the charts for several weeks while gathering massive web-traffic on Youtube.

All of this Turkish master’s catalogue (he’s released four LP albums, one EP and one remix collection CD) are well worth the trip while his previous release GO (on a Columbia Records imprint label) was a worldwide success and spent three months in the Top 40 on the U.S. college radio charts (CMJ Charts) peaking at #14.
