"Natural Showman"

Ray Boulay is a natural showman. Expressing his music comes effortlessly - he sings with passion and conviction with every word that floats off his lips.

"Boulay backed by a strong voice"

It's clear that Ray Boulay loves to sing. After seeing his performance in front of a packed house at the Laughing Buddha this past Saturday, I was moved by his vocal prowess, clever song-craft and stage presence. Never have I been so engaged in a solo performance than I was that night. Ray Boulay worked his vocal range like a pro going from grit to soft tenderness and raising the roof with his wide classical tenor voice. I am looking forward to seeing him again with the whole band when he returns for his 'home town' CD release party. If it's anything like his solo show; I better bring a change of pants.

"BOULAY Band a Solid Ensemble"

The BOULAY Band lead by the exuberant Ray Boulay, rocked 100 Georges. The band made good use of the small stage in this neighborhood bar by making it seem larger with their slick, tight, well written songs.

The four energetic BOULAY's gave all they had in every number they performed. With Ray Boulay on Guitar/Vocals, Brendan Peltier on Keys/Vocals, Richard Cambridge on Drums and Mike Brisbin on bass, this quartet tapped into all of their influences giving a Bruce Hornsby-Cold Play-Yes-Blue Rodeo-ish sound.
They were a treat to watch. BOULAY is a solid, tight and very entertaining band.

"Captivating"

"I was planning on making it an early night and leave as soon as David Hein got off the stage but the last band, "Boulay" gave me plenty of reason to stay. Front man, Ray Boulay was absolutely captivating and I was amazed by the quality of his voice and the diverse range he sang with. Ray was also backed up by a group of hard-rocking talented musicians who played unyielding in-your-face rock with plenty of hooks. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for this band."
