Summary

Champaign Park District's Streetfest, held on June 4th, July 9th and August 20th, 2011, is a street festival held in Champaign, IL. It is looking for solo artists and bands to perform live at one of the concert dates during the summer of 2011. There are 2 slots reserved in each show for Sonicbids artists.
Compensation for artists is negotiable. 5,000 concert cards are made listing all the performers for the summer. These cards are distributed throughout all the concerts and the community. If booked in time, performers are also listed in the Park District Funformation Guide that goes out to every residence in Champaign.



Each street festival draws a crowd of approximately 5,000 people. Artists will be booked as applications are received, but all submitting artists will be notified by April 7th, 2011.



Past performers of the Champaign Park District Streetfest include FreezeDried, Od Tapo Imi, One Night Stand, Mister sister, Tall Tale, Krukid, Elsinore and Headlights.


The Champaign Park District's arts programs include numerous cultural events that serve an average of 48,000 community members per year. Concert offerings include the Bach's Lunch Concert Series, Summer Concerts, and Gospel/Fest. The Division also provides juried exhibition opportunities to local artists through the Springer Cultural Center Art Exhibition Series, Town and Country Amateur Art Show, and the Taste of Champaign-Urbana Arts and Crafts Festival which draws on an average 50,000 participants on it's own.
