"Dayz to Come Rocks"

Dayz to Come is the complete package as it applies to today’s Christian music. It isn’t enough to mention their playing abilities and musical style, their dedication to Christ outshines even the greatest talent of the band. Every member in Dayz to Come has a genuine heart for Jesus.

Speaking of talent, there is a difference between skill and talent. To have a skill means that you are using something that you are challenging yourself to develop. To be talented is something altogether different. Talent is a God given ability that only excels when God is glorified. Days To Come is a band that is full of talent. These guys rival the best of the best when it comes to their playing style and ability because they are dedicated to Christ in a whole hearted way. There are few drummers that have the abilities of Curtis Carver. His brother Gordon Carver isn’t just a vocal front man; he is also the band’s rhythm guitarist. Don’t let me stop with that though, Gordon truly shines when he touches the keys. He has no mercy on the piano, and he makes the instrument do more than play music. As Gordon plays, he makes the piano sing and dance.

The band is much more than these two brothers. The talent doesn’t stop with Gordon and Curtis either. Roger plays lead guitar with the accuracy of legends. He has the ability to go toe to toe with any guitarist in the industry today. The same can be said for Jonathan, he doesn’t just give a heavy foundation as he plays; he gives the bass a presence that refuses to be ignored. There is also Josh, a musical talent that puts the finishing touch on the sound of Dayz to Come with a digital twist and mix.

The dynamic style of Dayz to Come will take this band to levels that they have never imagined. Southern Rock is not just a gravy covered Southern dish; it is a sound that is served around the world. As you listen to Dayz to Come you will hear reminders of the groups roots and inspiration and you will fall in love with the sound of Southern Rock again, but this time Jesus is the main flavor.

In today’s world of Christian music it’s easy to find bands that are only trying to make a living while they are supported under the genre of “Christian” or “Religious” music. The daily lifestyle of Dayz to Come is no different on stage than it is off stage. They give God their all in everything they do.

I give a personal “Thank You” to Dayz to Come for being an inspiration to me as well as to all those they are around. It is because of a heart that is humble and sincere that you will see success.

"Christian Rock is Not Dead"

Many people would say that christian rock is on a decline. But the students and every person that was at the concert with the band Dayz to Come know different. DTC blew everyone away that was there. From the electrafying way they took the stage to the rocking end the crowd was completely captivated. One new fan of DTC said she could not believe that the hour and a half concert went by so fast, she had so much fun, and she also said that she was so caught up in the worship. Another new fan of DTC of an older age said, that he hadn't heard a christian rock band worship like DTC. Being the music columist I've heard many bands, but I must say that Dayz to Come is in my top 3 bands of all time. These southern boys simply rock and their love and passion for Jesus Christ can be seen on stage and off stage. When asked what they thought about all the buzz on them, the band said We are just 5 southern boys that love Jesus christ and love rock. And these guys rock hard. LWC News Flows gives the band Dayz to Come a 10 out of 5, they were off the scale. - LWC news flow

Bio

Dayz to Come was founded in the fall of 2001 by Curtis and Gordon Carver. Thefirst group was organized for a youthworship concert at Living Waters church.
After spending weeks rehearsing for theevent the guys in the band decided thatthey wanted to achieve much more thanjust a concert, they wanted a music ministry that would glorify and honor Jesus Christ and leave the youth thatattended each event with a message of hope and love. After adopting the name Soul Purpose the band quickly added bassistJonathan Knight, lead guitarist Roger Tomlin jr., drummer Curtis Carver, and leadvocals/rhythm guitarist Gordon Carver. After several years as Soul Purpose the bandmade the decision to change their name to Dayz to Come, and become the voice cryingout that there's going to come a day when all others will fail you and only Jesus will bethere for you to rely on.
The band rotated several other musicians such as pianist Josh Crawford andguitarist John Spears. The band kept its core set up of Gordon, Roger, Jonathan, andCurtis for many years until early 2008 when lead guitarist Roger Tomlin left the band toplay full time with southern gospel group The Crowns and serve as music minister at hischurch. In the absence of Roger bassist Jonathan Knight stepped up and demonstratedhis sick-nasty skills as a guitarist and by a landslide vote became the new lead guitarist.
After filling the lead guitarist position they had to find a bassist, enter bassist/pianistCaleb Wilkerson. After a six month sabbatical of rehearsing and re defining their soundDTC hit the road in June of 2008 with a new message and sound. Writing songs basedon true life experiences of band members and fans DTC quickly hit it's stride as not only a ministry but a giant family.
The band has been blessed to have spent time on stage and off with other Christian artist such as Third day, New Song, Toby Mac, Brandon Heath, Red, EchoingAngels, Revived and many more. Through all the accolades and praises that DTC has
received the most prized accolade is when one person makes a commitment to Christand another child is added to the Kingdom of God. The current focus of DTC is notstardom but that every person will hear the message they are trying to get across.
Wether its through the music or someone observing their everyday lives this group ofguys is committed to letting each life they touch know that even when every one has leftyou as long as you have Jesus, you too will stand in the Dayz to Come.
