"Artist Review for Elena Giordano"

From the first note of Elena’s cd called “Come Clean” you’ll realize her voice is the star. With delightfully emo backing vocals, a soft melody oozes through the speakers like syrup. There are certainly enough tracks to choose from on this super ambitious 17-song effort. The best song is the simplest, and purest: “Baby Tonight”. It’s a love song of great depth and sexy tempo. Overall, a terrific and tender collection of strong and sweet tracks. - A & R Select

"Hot Up-N-Comers of 2010"

In an age where pop-sensibility and innovation play a delicate balance in not only acquiring an audience, but keeping them tuned in and turned on, New York’s Elena Giordano and her quirky, expressive and downright interesting debut LP, Come Clean, cater to all aspects of what an emerging artist could hope to release into the world in 2010. - WomensRadio Music Review

Bio

Elena is a unique channel of expression. With firm belief that music has the ability to heal and transform, the power of emotion comes through clearly in her lyrics and delivery. An adrenaline junkie by nature, Elena writes with passion. She tackles her craft with maturity and wisdom and is humbly learning every day.

Elena’s first full-length album, Come Clean, is a collection of Pop songs that depict a journey of blind faith through time; very real, personal experiences with Universal messages. It is a true blend of spontaneity and craft, and a tactful balance between Pop and the Avant-garde. Elena’s sound is a unique splattering of pop/rock, folk, electronica and dance, yet somehow it all makes cohesive sense. Working with producer Lior Magal on this album has been an important ingredient. Magal’s music has been published by Sony/BMG, Geffen/Interscope, Warner Bros., RMD Dance International and many others. He has remixed for artists such as Pink, Nelly Furtado, Idina Menzel and Rachel Sage and his work has produced two #1 Billboard Hits with “Do it” (Nelly Furtado) and “Gorgeous” (Idina Menzel).

Elena has been a musician forever. Her musical training began at age 3 on the violin and she began singing by age 5. In high school and college, she sang and arranged music for a capella groups and was a music minor at Mount Holyoke College. Elena was also a very competitive athlete. She was an All-American diver in both high school and college and also played softball and field hockey at the collegiate level. In the last couple of years she has decided to focus exclusively on her songwriting and performance. Her sports background has since morphed into more fluid forms such as dance, yoga, and other forms of Experimental Movement to nurture the Mind/Body/Spirit connection. Her newfound love of aerial work is an element she hopes to be incorporating into performances soon.

In sharing her diversity of talent, Elena is vulnerable and innocent, bold and exposed, sexy and sophisticated, while exploring with a child-like curiosity.
