Daniel Pitra

DANIEL Pitra is Czech drummer and composer. He was born on 19th December 1993. Since 4 years of age he is composing and performing in public on several musical instruments.
As 6-year-old he played Vivaldi's Violin Concert G Major with chamber orchestra in Bad-Alexandersbad (Germany). Basic musical education gave him his parents and than he studied violin, recorder and drums on Music School in Karlovy Vary. Beside of that he can play guitar, piano, saxophone, etc. Since 2006 he also studied composition and now he did more than 300 compositions and arrangments and several of them were performed in public.

He studied on Prague Conservatory with Jiří Gemrot (composition), Pavel Razim (drums), Radek Krampl (marimba) a Petr Holub (timpani). Then he studied on Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory with Karel Růžička (composition) a Camillo Caller (drums/percussions) and he is graduate of Conservatory of Jan Deyl with Pavel Polívka and Jan Kasal (drums).

- In 2002, he won Strings Regional Competition of Musical Schools.
- In 2003, he won Woodwinds Regional Competition of Musical Schools.
- Since 9 years of age he was member of kids rock band "Flea's band".

- With success, he was subscriber already few times summer courses of old music in Prachatice. He is a member of recorder quartet „Jasnozriva Muza", and with this quartet, he was subscribed foreign Journey to Italy. This consort was in the year 2005 fought into republic competition of Musical Schools. In competition of Musical Schools in the year 2006, he won 1. price in regional competition for his performance on play the flute. The same evaluation he got also in play the drums. The drums he is using in child's rock band „Flea's band", and with this band he got 1. price in national competition „Detska Porta" in year 2004 in Prague. Here, he got special price of jury for the extra performance. From the September 2004, he is a member of school bigband „Gringos". He is participates the Weekend of Improvisation by Jiri Stivin.
