In 2002 Singer Eduardo Cavour and producer and pianist Christian Borngräber met in a bus, both travelling to La Rochelle / France to play at a latin music festival. Back to Berlin they started playing sessions at Borngräbers studio. The main interest at that moment was to have fun and to make different stuff from that played with their other bands. Some 50 songs later they decided to give that sessions a name - al negro was born.
Soon 2 new members joined the group. First Alberto Atalah, drums and a bit later Sergio Klein, e-guitar. Together with some guest musicians they recorded the first album of al negro to be released May 2009.
Together with bassist Olaf Scharpf and Percussionist Shanti they are rehearsing a live set that will blow away audiences.
