I just wanted to take a second and let you know how much I enjoyed Highland Way, both working with the group and their performance. They were very well received, we filled the house for both shows and actually had to turn people away for both shows, something we have never had to do for the 7pm show before. Highland Way is an exciting, great, "Celtic Experience" for all ages ! Each band member comes with a long history of musical training and performance that combines for a rousing and fun filled musical program.

I don't know where to begin in thanking you and all of the members of Highland Way for the wonderful performance you gave at the Holly Theater during Dahlonega's Celtic Music Festival! It is so very evident that Highland Way truly enjoys entertaining people with your fabulous music. You and the entire band have a special way of interacting with the audience... .whether igniting clapping and laughter or bringing tears to their eyes! Honestly, Highland Way helped make Dahlonega's first Celtic Music Festival a success! We appreciate everything you contributed, from your fun family concert to the "Celtic Tales" workshop to your spectacular evening concert!

Bio
With their huge repertoire they are uncompromising professionals that know how to tailor their performance to the audience. A native Scot, Brian Caldwell is well known for his wonderful ability to charm any crowd while his energetic and driving rhythm guitar blends flawlessly with the rest of the band. Joining Brian are Ned Giblin, native Irishman from Galway, (on vocals, mandolin, whistles, banjo and guitar), Paul Graham Castellanos (on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo), , and Freddy Faith on percussion and drums. Featuring traditional Celtic music from Scotland and Ireland, some originals and the occasional popular cover, Highland Way create the ultimate show.
Brian Caldwell - Lead vocals / rhythm guitar / bodhran / manager
Brian grew up in Glasgow, Scotland and having specialized in sound engineering at the prestigious Strathclyde University, headed on the road. Now residing in North San Diego County in California, he regularly plays solo, as a duo with the Clachan Boys, and or as a four piece with Highland Way. Having appeared on national television on the Donny & Marie Show, Brian is an enthusiastic and energetic singer and rhythm guitar player running his own studio and producing other music under the ‘Highland Way Productions’ label. "It's all about the crowd having a good time!"
Ned Giblin - mandolin / whistle / guitar / banjo / bodhran
Hailing from Galway in the West of Ireland, Ned Giblin comes from a very traditional Irish musical family. Along with his outstanding vocals, Ned is the master of several traditional Irish instruments including the mandolin, whistle, guitar, banjo and bodhran. Having played venues like the Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Compound, Ned has been joined on stage by some of Celtic’s best musicians, including The Chieftains, Liam Clancy, Tommy Makem, De Dannan, Floggin Molly, to name but a few. He also owns and operates several Irish Pubs in San Diego county, notably Tom Giblin’s in Oceanside and R O’ Sullivan’s in Escondido.
Paul Castellanos - Fiddle / madolin / guitar / banjo / strings....
Lead Fiddle / mandolin / banjo/ bass and anything with strings for that matter. Paul's been playing fiddle and mandolin for over 30 years. Somewhere in that time he also picked up guitar, bass guitar, banjo and keyboards. Paul's an accomplished song writer and arranger having played with 'The Chieftains', 'The Young Dubliners', 'Blended Spirits', 'Ken O' Mally', and regularly performed in LA's oldest Irish Pub Molly Malone's with 'Garrison White', and 'Glen Cornick', original bass player for 'Jethro Tull'. He's also played the Grand ol Opry and opened for 'The Wolftones', 'Willy Clancy', Tommy Makem', and 'Billy Connelly'.
Freddy Faith - Percussion / drums
Freddy Faith mastered percussion as a small lad – getting his first snare drum set at age 7. By the age of 14, he was playing drums at weddings in Chicago and has never stopped performing. Freddy has played percussion in numerous rock and jazz bands, and toured in the road company for the rock musical “Hair.” With Highland Way, Freddy re-connects with his Scottish heritage; his mother’s McCorkle family members arrived from Scotland, fought in the American Civil War, and settled in Indiana, no doubt, bringing their music with them.
