Bio

MIDIE a.k.a "Mr. Musically Transmitted Disease" was born and raised in Boston, MA. and made his way into the Hip-Hop culture when he was only 2 years old. His father being one of the original members of the established group "New Edition" introduced MIDIE to a handful of artists/producers while working heavily on his own career. Little did he know that his son would later become what some say a powerful emcee. MIDIE's extensive vocabulary and creative thinking has helped him attract a variety of listeners. His first encounter with the mic was when he was 12 years old from there he started to venture out with his character (Most Incredible Dude In Entertainment) where he developed other skills such as producing beats for different genres and even engineering vocals for local artists. From studying in the studio with others more advanced than he was he used his knowledge to make his own beats, record and mix down his own songs. Inspiration came onto him by listening to artists such as Nas, Jay-Z, Joe Budden, Eminem, Fabolous and Kanye West; because of their diverse personalities on the mic they were able to help him grow as an artist. Throughout the years he continued to showcase his talents as a Hip-Hop artist any way possible by performing at colleges, parades, festivals, clubs, sweet 16s and many more venues. You can think of MIDIE as a one man army type musician dabbing into the production world, writing his own lyrics as well as others, mixing and promoting his own songs. With each experience he learned how to adapt to a diversity of crowds, which made him care a lot more about what his fans think about him and his music; with that said he gives every song, production and/or performance 100% and hopes for the longevity of his career.
