Full Moon Circus
When: 9 p.m. Saturday.
Where: Fire, 209 Commerce St., Jackson.
Cost: $10.
Who are they?: A band whose menacing aesthetics belie an emphasis on story-telling and vocal harmonies, the Mississippians of Full Moon Circus claim Slayer and Metallica as influences, but exhibit a sound closer to Green Day or Jimmy Eat World (remember them?).
With slick, radio-ready hooks, these angry clowns might be on to something if they could just do something about their scary, circus-themed posters.
