"The Embracers Review on Tightmixblog.com"

The Embracers are an excellent band from the northern New Jersey/NYC area, and man, they can rock the hell out of a gig. They bring elements of bluegrass, folk, and indie rock together to create songs that are catchy as hell, and are hard not to love. Also, the lead singer gives off a kind of Bob Dylan vibe, both in sound and appearance, which is what intrigued me in the first place. My band played a gig with them a while back in NYC, and we were all stunned after watching their set, which happened to be right before ours. They are a tough act to follow. - tightmixblog

"The Embracers on eatsleepbreathemusic.com"

We saw the middle of The Embracers set. I really enjoyed their music. They had a southern, folky, rock sound which was very pleasing to the ear. The crowd was really into them. After they finished their set, a large portion of the crowd had left. I was suprised by this since usually a lot of people come to see the main band. - eatsleepbreathemusic

"The Embracers on JerseyCityIndependent.com"

Mike Neglia (drums/percussion/vocals), Matt Condon (harmonica/guitar/vocals), Michael D’Amico (bass), Mike Slaff (guitar/slide guitar) and Brendan Root (guitar/vocals) — jumped up and started what looked like Jazz Powerplay. (Definition: when there are more people in the band than the crowd). But as they pulled into their set, a crowd amassed and they transformed from country to blues to funk and back to country. The crowd dug it, the bartender dug it, and I dug it. Then Condon busted out a harmonica and all hell broke loose. Imagine the Allman Brothers meets the Everly Brothers, throw in the Mario Brothers, and you’d still be in search of the magnitude of the rock they put out.
